All you need is an active admin really. On my server we have about 15 admins and about 8 have kick/ban power. When we see someone who may be cheating, we check with eachother by going in 1st person then we get the IP and WON and ban both. Simple as that. True we have banned under 5 people that were legit but we unban them.



Its all because of this one guy. He played on our server for about 5 months and was pretty good. Getting constant 3:1 scores or higher and always leading the team. Then 1.4 came out and he was banned. We waited 5 months for him to be banned because back then we didn't have the balls. So the moral of the story is get active admins they will win

I think that there will never be an end to cheating in CS. Although OGC and others have been eliminated, there are still some running around, albiet less than before. I don't think the VAC will be able to solve hacking, although it's a step in the right direction. Someone mentioned Diablo above and it's monumental hacking problem. Blizzard came out with anti-hacker options, something about a blacklist they've compiled where a known hacker cannot join a server. There was a workaround posted less than a day afterwords. I'm hoping that CS won't have this problem, but you can bet that it might happen.

those claims of "homemade" "private hacks" are ridiculos

of course there are probably lets say 800 people that "make hacks" but tha hell since vac was 1st released i saw ohh lets say 4 cheaters

witch is clearly better then the 3 cheaters a day policy of 1.3

oh yea and brazil cheat and monkey and WHATEVER the fucking hell your names are yall can go screw your selfs, you have no honor you are just lonely fools that have no self esteem and need to feel good on an online game, you hack for you have not the balls to face some1 in real life for your sins thus you use an on line program where none can come and harm your weak bodies.

they arent going to buy a new cd key every time they want to test a cheat.. fear of being banned forever will prevent them from cheating..

i have never tried cheats before cause theya re too com;licated. rename your half life foler file cj42.cfg to blah blah blah and unzipping and overwriting anmd ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i odn't see how cheats make the game funnn anyway.

They test to see if their cheats work in unsecure servers, and then test to see if they get detected in secure servers.

Servers that aren't in secure mode have no detection or cheat prevention. So they can do whatever they want on servers that aren't secure.

Yeah but if a cheat works in an unsecure server, it would work in a secure server providing it's not detected, right?

Only if it the cheat is very new.

No. If cheats don't work on a secure server, they will work on an insecure server providing that the cheat was made recently (about a year) and it's blocked by the CS code itself.
