Your article is like a poor book report. Lacks depth and direction. How come no mention of Yensid? Yensid released his anticheat that paved the way for file checking. Then there was Jedinocheat. Remember the "Giving CS back to the players one ban at a time"?



You left out 2 major contributers to the movement. So I'd give you a C on the write up. How come you didn't interview anyone for any insight? I'm sure people over at UA would have been glad to answer any questions.

Thats where our wonderful hacks come in to play. I don't see hacks as an unfair advantage, but a change up in game play which keeps us playing.

I'm sure you're from a 3rd world country because you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. You can see players that are behind a wall across a map when everyone else in the server cannot. How is that not an unfair advantage? If you're so sick of the game, why not, uninstall half-life and learn to adapt to new games?

Wow, Brazil Cheater, Dark Water, you guys are horrible, you OBVIOUSLY didnt get the point i was trying to make. Look, I dont do it anymore, but i used to hack. At that time I was 11. Yes, me. As much I debate on the anti-cheat side, I used to hack. Why? I still don't know. It was probably because I happened to be at the "newb" level during 1.3, which was the Golden Age of hacks, in my opinion, and I was curious. But I really dont know. Back to what I was saying. Yes, hacks made Counter-Strike very fun. But, I later realized that OTHER people in the Counter-Strike community were being affected by these cheats. I learned this after a while, and I finally admitted to myself. I was a class-one asshole. I knew I had to stop. It was very hard for me, seeing as how addicted i was to this "ability" (call it what you will) to easily kill anyone in ANY server I went to.



Brazil Cheater, Dark Water, I give you gentelmen this challenge. A very simple challenge. Delete your installed hacks. Try Counter-Strike without hacks. And don't just go to your hook and select "Turn all Cheats Off.". Go the full nine yards and delete EVERY hack, script, hook, registry edit, EVERYTHING. Go and play your ass off Counter-Strike. Tell me what you think.

it seems to be that in half of the secure servers, people have no idea what vac is yet....if they see anyone doing exceptionally good, they deem that peron a hacker or cheater. of course, anyone else who has any clue as to what goes on in the cs world and has been playing since >1.0 knows that of course it couldn't be a hack. with the information i learned through dark water's and brazil cheater's comments, i have come to two conclusions:



1)you are both very pessimisstic (sp) people

2) you have no respect for anything at all, and are a disgrace to the entire cs community ( or at least the part that doesn't hack). the vac team and all the anti-cheat developers before them have spent a gross amount of time and effort to put an end to these cheats, and continue to do so. it is absolutely disgusting that with one simple download, you can metaphorically spit on these efforts. cheating may always win your minds, but eventually it also comes down to a moral issue. anyone above the age of 8 has developed some sort of sense of good moral value, and what it also mean to be quite simply an -sshole. if respectable and disgraceful will serve as our two main categories, you, and every other cheater out there, fit into the latter.

I agree with my hacking friends here, Brazil and Dark. I will tell you this, we will win and you all have no way out, I am sure that OGC will surprise as it always does. OGC will shake up the CS community and again bring choas to the game (mwhahaha). And even if vavle stops OGC there are still people making "VAC-proof hacks" and relasing them. VAC cant keep up with all these "small" hack makers, only people that have been in the "business" of hacking for some time knows where to look. If OGC dies there will always be the few great ones that will carry on with the legacy and give the people VAC proof hacks. there are also thousand, if not millons of private hacks out there that can pass VAC. and Vavle will never know about these. So face the facts, Vavle cant win and for anti-cheaters to win you all will need another "superpower" to come and help you.

Umm you guys are kind of stupid psoting here even if you can spoof your IP. Just another IP that can be banned. Anyway even if I don't like Valve they can't lose. Valve knows who hosts myg0t and can very, very easily sue them and win. Valve has the funds and cheating trash doesn't.



Plus the perfect example of the lack of education these cheaters have such as the idiot who says it doesn't give him an advantage. Well you can brag and say your good but its pretty obvious that you suck at the game if you cheat. Don't give your Im Bord or Its too easy BS you just suck at the game. Thats why now when I see a cheater I don't care. Why? A case were I can truely say that someone has no life because they have to cheat at a video game to have fun. I don't care if you play 23 hours a day you have more of a life then a cheater.



When you suck so bad at anything that you have to cheat, your just sad.

The thing that defines the difference between me and you anti-cheaters is this: I realized a long time ago (when I used to be anti-cheater) that there is NO way to stop hackers. You can NEVER stop people from cheating, so why waste your time trying to fight against it when you can fight back by cheating too? I think that you are thick, and lame-brained to not realize that there will never be a winner in the cheat/anti-cheat war. That is why I hack, end of story.

There's only so many versions Pharlap can write for OGC before he wants to get paid for it. Sooner or later someone else will have to take on the task of pissing off the anticheaters.



And when VAC gets to the point where they can update every 24 hours, cheating will be gone, just because of the fact that writing a new version will be pointless.



Majority of cheaters are little doosh bag kids that need to win to feel good. :p

We may not be able to stop them, but at least we have the honor, and the decency to play the game the way it was made to be played. I enjoy my ass off playing in the 3D server, where every single person owns me for 3 cents.



I'm confident I haven't seen a cheater in two weeks. The Valve Anti-Cheat has successfully scared off 7/8 the hardcore cheaters, and successfully stopped 11/12 the cheats out there.



This isn't a forum to be talking about how good you are at cheating.

And, also, about the "millions of private hacks thing"...Half-Life didn't sell more than 3 million copies, I really can't see that many people making private hacks (I'm not counting different versions as different numbers of hacks, OCG 1 and OGC 5 count as one hack, apparently you are to conceive a number even remotely close to, say 50,000...even that's a stretch in my mind)...keep on making stuff up, please.
