And I liked your post about defacing websites with hacks on them... thats right...I'm really sure you know how to deface a site.

I won't go into details, but I will say this, using cheats on a game is not necessarily illegal. It DOES break the End User Lisence Agreement, which can null invoid any legal action you want to take on VALVe or any other game company for whatever reason.
Defacing, or, as you put it "hacking" websites, is blatently illegal. You have to have a lot of knowledge on the computer that is running the site, such as the OS, and exploits. And no, its not something you can do with a nice little "hacking_into_websites.exe" program.
But hell, you seem to know exactly what you're talking about here, so... lets hear more about your little plan here.
Now you're more than likely going to say;

makes it harder to make your cheat undetectable when you release it + all the source. I'm sure about 10 minutes after ogc 9.0 was patched he had another version he was using privately
also.. a lot of the ogc versions were never truly identified as cheats.. Everything was just based on suspect evidence (existance of aliases which may or may not be part of cheats). With things like "toggle_lambert" it was pretty obvious people were cheating their asses off, but for files and lesser known aliases (+cjump anyone?) most of the plugins resluted in a lot of false positives... hard to prove either way. Now, i'm not condoning cheating or cheat making, but I feel you should give him some credit as a decent programmer. Cheat making is a pretty pathetic use of such talents, but there's not much we can do about it. It would be better to spend your time coming to terms with the situation and perhaps taking a more constructive view on how to stop cheating rather than just flaming cheatersComment
