That's exactly right. Guns aren't made for the sole purpose of killing people. People use guns for competitions, sport, etc... However, cheats are made for the sole purpose of, you guessed it, cheating. And System makes the most popular cheating system. Not only that but he released OGC to the public and PROMOTES cheating. So who should we turn our attention to?

Apparently you missed the enitre point of my post. I was (not so) simply stating that not everyone cheats for the same reason. Some people (like myself) have complex reasons for cheating, while others just want to have fun. There are many other reasons as well. Obviously its not rocket science but its also not a white/black issue. My point was that stereotyping is an ignorant action, no matter what the issue at hand is.

Actually they are. I don't want to get into bevahioral science on the comments section of a CS site but peoples actions are the result of years of development as well as many other variables.

Thats not the case now is it. Christ, you people focus too much attention on "guns" part of that whole situation don't you.... Guns aren't purpously manufactured to kill people. Duh. But if guns wern't around people would be using other objects. A baseball bat is a good example.



OGC (The example of a gun) is not the only 'deadly weapon' to CS out there. There are many other cheats (baseball bats, beer bottles, Spoon's Keyboard..) out there.

Divert your misled anger toward System. Ok... Now lets say hypothetically you actually do get him to stop making cheats (laff).



Then what... oh wait... there's still XQZ2, HLH, various other aimbots and wallhacks.... hmm..



Not to mention if for some strange reason he decides to stop making cheats, thats NOT going to stop people from cheating.



So if you wish, you can continue on in this wild goose chase and run in circles until your head spins, you will get nowhere.

Osama Bin Laden (System/OGC) proclaims he hates America and trains terrorists (makes cheats) to kill Americans (non-cheaters). According to you, we shouldn't be mad at Osama. I mean, he didn't invent hating America (cheating), right? He's not the only one who does. So let's ease off Osama. Besides, if we get him, someone else will just take his place.

System has given me a lots of painful clan matches losing big time to cheating clans, and rather than having a great time playing a game (I guess most of us play CS for Fun, apart from the e-sport pros) I had an hour of shit



In my sick and twisted part of my brain I would like someone to pull the trigger for a real headshot on him!



In my more mature part I would put it down to valve for not doing anything about it sooner.



I now select my games with care, and leave if totaly overpowered.



being 30+ ill be the first to admit my reflexes is not as sharp as a 17 year old and even if I played games since "tennis" on a b/w telly is not going to make up for that, nor playing CS since beta 4. Its just a real shame that I can't get myself to say "great shot" or "well played" to another players since I dont know if it was skill or cheat



Im now doing well on SOF2, but I guess im playing on bowered time...

Maybe so. But it's on so much more of a smaller scale that you can't conceivably compare the two. That's kind of obvious, I guess.
