As for those 12 and under braggarts...
Let them work 60+ hour work weeks, pay rent/mortgage and put food on the table and we'll see how "leet" they are then :)
As for people not being that good at CS...
I agree with those who say find a good server with good PEOPLE with good ATTITUDES - most importantly - Who don't take the game seriously as if it were life and death and become a regular and it won't matter how good your ratio or stats are.
Remember, folks. It is a GAME. G-A-M-E.
The server I play on has clan and non-clan members playing on a regular basis and the clan members congradulate EVERYONE on a job well done if thier team wins (completes the objective; eliminates the opposing team).
It doesn't matter if the "newb" with a 3-21 ratio diffuses the bomb or kills the last CT. They aren't treated any different than the "leet" clan member with a 40-5 ratio.
That's how it should be more often, but unfortunately, it's not.
This is where the word "noob" or "newb" gained that negative connotation of being almost a pejoritive term (offensive term): From the arrogance of those who forget this is a game and treat it like the end-all, be-all of their existence.Comment

Um, heh, ouch. I don't know whether to die laughing or to remark on your lack of politeness to others. Just a thought... while what you have to say may be funny and perhaps even true, doesn't always mean it's a good thing to say. :) There is a certain fun in goofing around while playing occasionally, just so long as you're not pissing everyone else off, IMHO.
I know! It's so fun to live up to the usual female gamer sterotype! Tee hee! Why be an airheaded nuisance on a private listen server when you can burden hundreds of thousands of people from across the world?
Running around with empty shotguns seems pretty stupid to me, I'll admit, don't really see the fun in that. However, I have played knife attacking in groups with flashlights on, and laughed my head off. On vertigo, I've coordinated mass terrorist suicides, with cries of "We die for Allah!" coming across chat before we jumped. Sometimes, things like that really jerk you out of the intense competition, and give you a bit of perspective on the humor of the situation if you're taking it too seriously. :)
There is a definite fun in doing really well. My best was going 30-1 against a few clanners on a LAN, with my next teammate having all of 4 kills... oh man, that was funny stuff, but of course, the cheat accusations flew like wild during it, which lessened what it could have been.
Some of my more recent, less serious fun times have been running around with another regular on a server I frequent, and doing coordinated dualie elite attacks. :) Sure they suck, but after people see 5 members of their team get killed by elites, it starts really getting to them, heh. And how can I forget the pump shotty attacks with my old roommate on Office, wasting an entire team of 8 people between the two of us? Great times, but while owning was great for laughs, we had plenty of fun even when we were getting our um, pennies handed to us on a silver platter. :) It's those less serious, "just for the heck of it" moments, that can be quite enjoyable in retrospect, and are typically much more memorable than the "I got this great ratio..." moments.
That's my 2 cents anyway. Oh wait... 2 cents = 2 pennies... NOOOOO!!! LOL! :)Comment

yeah, I actualy suck too. All my friends suck at CS too, but I'm the oly one willing to confess.... I'm almost infamous for my 'spray-the-whole-ak-clip-and-miss-all-the-bullets-
but-one-and-get-hs'.. wee... Oh yeah, if you really suck, get yourself a Micorosoft Intellimouse 3.0. it helps you.. now I hit 50% bullets, and 25% of the kills are hs.. :) GLComment

anyway it doesn't matter if you suck or '0wn' a server ... as long as you enjoy playing the game
when i'm really bored i use my toes for movement and one hand for shooting ..with the other i just eat something crunchy :)

when i play i will sometimes start out duping an asspenies, then for some weird reson, all the good players leave or what, i dunno but i will go on kill sprees, sometimes i will go from 1/6 to 12/6 with a mac-10.. its weird, but now that my lazer mouse busted im back to the ol "lucky if i get a 1/1 ratio"Comment
