Pathetic. One moron says "Yes but before CT's could win vs. T's rushing the house if they camped.

Even A lone gun man could win.

Not anymore. Not vs. crappy snipers and/or good rushers. And I used to win rushing that CT spawn point if they camped. But certain maps suck now since 1.4 came out. Italy, office, any map that requires you to jump somewhere to get into position quick enough, sucks."

THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT. You claim you're going to play TRIBES because it's a "real team game", yet here you are, bitching like a fag because you can't rambo in CS anymore.

Then we have another moron pretending like he's a badass because he "raped" the Ts on Aztec, despite the fact that the map fucks them over to begin with.

So, do you jackasses have any complaints about maps that DON'T suck and DON'T have a horrible bias?

You "camp" poorly, you die. You "camp" intelligently, you don't. It's part of strategy, which means it takes skill. This is not quake. "Camping" is not a bad word. Having the intelligence and foresight to take a good position most certainly is skill, just as taking a position that leaves you wide open requires stupidity.

The walking speed change is just barely noticable. Should someone take up a good position, walking faster isn't going to do shit for you. You find another way, or you use a fucking grenade. The "attacking side" isn't hurt one goddamn bit, unless you're so delusional that you think most teams WALK to their rushing chokepoints. As for sneaking, it still works just fine. I walked 90% of the time before 1.4, and i walk 90% of the time NOW.

Oh my god, the game is acting like it might turn into something that requires actual STRATEGY now. Breaching a room might require you to have a fucking clue! Imagine that. No wonder you're so against it.

Mouth, I made alot of arguements in my comment. Read it again because I think you missed something. I said, yes CT's could win rushing the house if T's camped. CT's as a team. Now it's alot harder, or impossible.

I also said a lone gun man could win, because its true, a lone gun man used to be able to win. In 1.3, where most the time you didn't need to rely on your teammates, because when you relyed on them you ended up dead. Tribes is a better team based game then CS is.

-=cw=-/i/oIr is right. I remember rushing on Dust as T with a deagle, kill 2 or 3 guys because they were to slow, pick up they're m4 and killed 4 more guys, and finsih the round before the rest of my Team made it up the ramp. I remember doing that so many times by myself, Thats what made the game fun. Now you'd be lucky to even hit one guy with a pistol before 3 of them shoot you.

You say CS about balance, its about realism... No it's not. Its about having fun, and they've taking out all the fun. By balancing it for people that don't earn the shit they do.

Its not hard to win as T on aztec. Nor is it hard to win as CT on assasult. Or why there would be a valid reason for T's to camp on that map to begin with. I wish I recorded a demo today. I hardly use the ak, but "rushed" as "T" with it on "assasult" and killed 8 guys, 6 of them with headshots, all long distance. Won the round. Luck yes, but in 1.3 you could do it all the time, it's harder in 1.4 never know when you'll catch a headshot. I think I was pissed when I did that. Round after that I did it again, just not as many people. Most were dead already. I rush as a T, why? because it's harder, a challenge. Requires skill. Camping is toooooooo damn easy on that map as T if I were to camp, people would leave the servers. So I rush as T or play CT to begin with.

If you people knew how to play the game, they wouldn't have to change so much about it. Their supposed to fix problems.... Problems, not make new ones or fix things that aren't broken, or change the gameplay to begin with.

I like that james bond shit :) It was fun then. Not anymore. And I've beaten cheaters in 1.3 before. They say they're not the only cheater here, I say they suck. But 1.4 still has cheats. The attitude around good players is sickening. And me I know how the game is supposed to be played. Some is up with someone with a 100 ping doing better then the low pingers on average. I joined the other team today because I was tired of the BS I saw him pull off. Shooting through walls with a Silenced M4, shooting behind people and hitting them, firing 2 or 3 shots with an mp5 and kill them. I fire 30 and wonder where all the bullets went when I die from someone that just turned to face me. But thats always been a problem. I mean come on you can only miss so much. If recoil was a problem, they wouldn't make the guns to begin with.

I've falsely accussed others of cheating though. I won't say I never have. But, when others say your cheating, then you go somewhere else and others say your a n00b.... does that make sense? I mean if your the best n00bie killer you still would par vs good players.... But whats good? LoL.

Again, you are missing the whole point of my post. If you read it thoroughly, you would understand. I'm talking about camping vs stealth, not camping vs camping or some other shit. I never said camping was skilless. Get that throught your head. It takes less skill to camp than it does to use stealth. That means you don't need as much skill to kill a person with more skill. This means round are not decided as much by skill than before. The attacking side does not have an option to take a superior position so they can camp. They have to complete the objective or they lose. This is why they use stealth. But if the ability to use stealth is hindered, like in 1.4, this means it is even harder to to complete the objective.

Your arguments do not make sense. The walking speed change is noticable unless you never used it to it's full potential before. There are only so many ways and usually every way is being camped. If you use a grenade, you're giving your position away, the opposite reason you are using stealth. If the ability to use steath is hindered, than yes, the attacking side is hurt. If you use stealth 90% of the time, that means you are walking to the check points moron.

You're right, it does require strategy to breach a room. That's why people use stealth. That is a strategy. One that takes more skill than camping does. Maybe you should try it some time. Oh that's right, you have tried it. You use it 90% of the time. If CS keeps giving the advantage to the camper, it will be almost impossible to breach a room. That will be bunches of fun.

Camping sucessfully requires knowledge of the map and knowledge of what the prey can and can't do and where they are, as well as what their playing mannerisms are. Stealth requires the same, and infact, they go hand in hand more often than not. That makes it far-fetched that stealth requires more skill than camping.

Grenades, while necessary to breach rooms most of the time, are needed no more than they were in 1.3. The fact that you're giving your position away is WHY you use grenades, dipshit. You don't like that you can't slip into a defended area and walk up to a targets face without blowing cover? Too fucking bad. You're playing the wrong game. A predator in AvP would suit you better. Go play that and shut the hell up.

And no, i'm not walking to checkpoints in a rush. I hate to break such shocking news to you, but rounds in CS can be more and last longer than your average "Rush rush rush!" clusterfuck.

Yeah! Some people have fun by cheating, and Valve is taking away their fun! Try refining your reasoning, bonzo. Back to the drawing board for you.

Valve has taken the fun out of CS ever since they got a hold of it... bonzo.

And to tell you the truth, cheating sounds like it would be more fun now, then it was before. And they didn't not get rid of them all, they put 2 codes in there, OGC works, probably alot of others do too. I still see servers with HLGuard and various other programs, if valve supposedly got rid of them, why are they still on the servers wasting resources?

Stealth requires the same mannerisms, plus you are moving. Camping you are not moving. This means the camper is expecting the the player to just walk across their path. Picking a superior position to camp is a skill per se. It requires some skill to pick that position, but when it comes down to it, it's not like the attacking team has a choice to pick a poisition. They are forced to complete the objectives. So this fact alone says that the defending team already has an advantage. This advantage alone is enough to offset the extra skill the attacking team has and put them in the disadvantage even though they are superior skill wise. Thus, it takes less skill to camp than to use stealth. I just explained your and my points to you in English. You speak it, but do you read it?

Anyone who would use these over any of the other P_ & W_ models around must be crazy.

                      Good idea though.

In my opinion, the P and W models in the pack are super ugly and low poly. If one wanna use it, why not just leave them default? However, this pack contains lots of nice spirites, especially the crosshair for Aug and Sg552. I suggest u to have a look at them by the spirites viwer.

I used to use this as a basis for modding my CS. I would slowly replace them all but at least the custom and default models didn't clash too much.

These should have been made the defaults years ago. It's an excellent pack to bring everything in your CS game up to the same standard. Really, for w_ and p_ models, at the distance you view them this pack is pretty sufficiently detailed, without consuming too many resources.

Replacements beyond that are obviously your own choice, and there are many of these I would eventually replace, but a lot of us like a number of the default models. If you still want that default CS feel, but with the visual upgrade, this is the pack to use.

I'm quite disappointed over the lack of shield p_ models, though.

Should be the defaults. I like using default models and having good w and p models is super.
