just because you can't adapt to it doesn't mean everyone else won't. stop thinking of yourself as all the customers 'lose a ton of buyers' rofl.

sure sure. the aim is perfect right? I am really starting to lean to not buying this game...first the lying, then the netcode is horrible, now more lying about the release. Im almost over it. fix the damn aim/netcode before the beta is over or lose a ton of buyers...
Not saying it's perfect, but it's not any worse than 1.6 right now. Netcode is fine. It started out with some major lag spikes on servers, but that seems gone now, I ping constantly fine as I just simply search out low ping servers, perhaps you should try the same.

Also, what "more lying about the release" are you talking about? Really now. There hasn't been any word about a release for CS:S/HL2 since early Summer! Stop making stuff up now.

CS 1.6 is a shitload smoother than CS:S netwise. Until they make it better, I won't play CS:S again.

the only reason the servers lag is because its a beta, most of the servers are probably being run from home. i havent seen any good server hosts supporting source...

If you right click on CSS and then on update news. Does it show this update? Mine just show the Sept. 1.

I've played on a handful of actual servers, not ones being run from someone's home. They ping great and experience no problems. One of them even handling 40 players without one problem.

Sometimes I really believe you people experience some of this lag or bad detection in your minds.

It's not that the servers lag, its just that the game isn't smooth. Even on LAN it feels strange. 1.6 feels smooth and (almost) razor-sharp, CS:S feels like a strange mix between BF1942 and Planetside. Any of you who play or have played will know exactly what I mean.

Correctamundo...anyone who says different must be a nub in 1.6. In 1.6 you can see where each and every bullet hits. Whereas in CSS its like a midget with a firehose. Pointless...And by the lying again I meant the comment about "oh we should be to RC by getting rid of all the bugs, should be 16 days or whatever the comment was...that was months ago. They still dont have an RC and it doesnt look like they are close to one. THIS is what is pissing me off and this is why I am considering not buying it now. Dont say something if you dont know for sure...

If the netcode/hit detection isnt fixed I really am not going to buy it. It feels horrible. If you cant see that, then you must have a brown nose...

scratch that about not being close to RC

"We're currently planning to send release candidates to Vivendi by September 15th," Valve marketing man Doug Lombardi said last week. "However, VUG hasn't given us a ship date yet. Might be best for you to ask them directly."

forgot about that one. So that's in a week from now about eh? Yeah right. If a patch for CSS netcode/aim isnt issued and the same or better than 1.6 Im over it. They are going to ship the game with nub aim...pshh. I didnt even update CSS for this update. Haha, no desire to play that. Although the flash is cool peeewwwwwerrrrrrrrrrr (flash sound) yeah yeah valve fix the aim or be the next soldner!!!

                        Don't you love self-contradictions?

Anyway, yes, he said he (Gabe Newell) expected to be able to send a release candidate to Vivendi in August some time ago. That wasn't even a month ago. (Then there's the more recent Doug comment.)

Instead of sending it while it was untested and possibly bugged out, they've decided to wait until they've ironed out all the bugs for CS: Source. They use the same engine; and I've seen many engine-related fixes made in recent weeks.

He never said they WILL send an RC to Vivendi then. Hell, it doesn't even matter because a release candidate is NO gaurantee for a final release.

And yet it's been over 5 years since Half-Life was released, and there were STILL updates for that engine coming even in the past few months. You're expecting miracles for an engine basically built from scratch here. I'd like to see you even come close to replicating the same and have it run flawlessly. Scratch that, you're not looking for perfection, you're looking for your own personal gratification from this game which differes from everyone else's. It runs fine for me. People are expecting this to be exactly like 1.6. Guess what? When you go to a new engine, it's not going to be the exact same game! The core gameplay is virtually identical, but you cannot equate it to a game that's running on a 6+ year old engine now. If you want to see your bulletholes, just adjust r_cullsize whatever to 0. WOW! Bullet holes you can see from miles away!
If the netcode/hit detection isnt fixed I really am not going to buy it. It feels horrible. If you cant see that, then you must have a brown nose...
The hit detection is fine. Either your computer can't handle the game so it stutters for you, your connection sucks, or you just suck skillwise. I've been playing for a few years now, and this plays just as fine as any previous version that had "fixed hitboxes."
"We're currently planning to send release candidates to Vivendi by September 15th," Valve marketing man Doug Lombardi said last week. "However, VUG hasn't given us a ship date yet. Might be best for you to ask them directly."

I'm so glad people will take everything they read from Gamespot's Rumor Control to heart. So so glad. It's even been said elsewhere that it's not that Doug said RC but rather Gold status. There IS a difference between the two, and I would not put it past those brainiacs at Gamestop to screw it up.

funny that a lot of people talk about this issue but there has NEVER been ONE official comment on it. The aim is fuxored! Can I get an AMEN????

You handled it like an idiot, so you only get a semi-amen. But the hitboxes DO suck.
