When I started playing CS, Dust just had something that made it easier to play than other maps. Soon I "moved-on" from my original dust-mania but my favourite map is still Dust 2. There is no escape.



As you can probably tell, playing the Dust maps have really characterised CS for me (that, Aztec and assault). Thanks DavidJ.



Oh, and the interview is a good read too, DavidJ. Nice to not see the usual collection of clichéd questions, Subbeh. Good work all around...

I'd say yes and no to that statement. Yes, if you mean that Assault is unbalanced because it bascially encourages the T's to camp and leaves them to guard three choke points, at the same time making it incredibly difficult to actually rescue the hostages, then yes I agree with you, it is unbalanced. By itself, it's a bitch to play as CT's on Ass-ault, especially considering the kind of play found on most public servers.



However, in the end I'd say no, the map is not unbalanced. With the help of teamwork, coordination, good communication, a few brain cells worth of strategy, and those nifty cameras from inside the truck at spawn, I'd say a CT team has a good chance to bust their way in, thus allievating balance issues.

By the way, Shifty, the P90 is one of my personal favorites guns, as is the Scout, neither found on your list. Both, especially the P90 when used correctly, are quite effective guns. I agree, though-those other six guns are used almost exclusively...but for effectiveness, as most other guns really don't get the job done that well.

No you cannot, but it's easy enough to find for yourself. If you need help, I'm 99.99% sure that you can find the help you need on the Valve ERC or CS forums.



Besides, Im get approximately 100 emails to my main account every hour, thanks to a variety of iworms... I get about 2 notices a day from my host saying I'm over the limit (65MB!), and it takes approximately 15mins of my time each day to clear it all out. Of the 100 emails I get, usually only 1 is 'real' - and then, it's usually spam. 1 in 300 is 'real' and something I could reply to.



Interesting facts. For the first week. After months of this, it's getting labourious...

As for assault, I dislike it. Now it has potential, look at Wild Wild West Assault... love some of the features and its way more balanced. One problem is its way to big.

Nice interview...... Dust is feeling its age...........but I luv dust........Dust can do some updating but pls DONT DO ANYTHING DRASTIC.......DUST's low lag is what attracted me the first place.
