It was over a year ago medix, my sense of time got out of whack.



Many drugs cause depression, Accutane is worse because the product is targeted to teenagers -- a group in society who is often depressed the most.



While I don't think the drug should be made illegal (has it already?), it should contain quite a clear warning.

What people have to realize, is that out of the millions of have taken this drug, only a few hundred have commited suicide. While this is tragic, I think it is unfair to blame the makers of this drug. I am sure a much larger percentage of people who drink alcohol become alcoholics, or depressed, etc. But you don't see people suing Sam Adams. The fact is, this drug has made MANY people very happy, and a very few people sad. The responsibility for these tragedies does not lie with the makers of this drug, but rather the doctors perscribing it. They should be the ones that make it clear to their patients that this is a possible side effect, and who monitor their patients carefully and ask the right questions to make sure their patients are not becoming suicidal.

well said. but i still dont think it should be so easy to acquire if its effects can be as severe as suicide, nothing that sever should be let on the market imo

yeah ive actually been taking accutane for the last 3 months and a bit so yeah know a bit about it



i dont know how long ago justin started taking it but for quite some time its carried warnings about causing depression and suicidel tendecys



though im pretty sure its only all circumstantion evidence anyway, the percentage of accutane users that suffer depression i dont thnk would be much different to the percentage of teenagers (that the drug often is used by) that suffer depression...etc..

I took ambien. While I blame the doctor for not telling me it clears your freaking memory, the drug has a clear purpose and works for many hundreds of thousands of people.



Any drug can kill with misguided prescriptions.
