Another Idea is Valve bring out a cheat with all the cheats in it and when some 1 uses it online the send a wee signal about the user containing there WONID, there TAG, IP back to valve hence banning them from ALL servers , this would be a good idea if there new anti-cheat dont work



All they have to do is set up a shiter website with a new cheat in town and have it registered to all the search sites,

Yes,I would like to think that if Valve makes anti-cheat software or team E shuts down major cheating clans that cheaters will be good sports and play fair again.I doubt this is the case though becasue if you have your WON I.D. banned from every server you go to you could either:

A.Delete Half-Life,re-install a new version of it,download the updates,donwload CS,and play fair

or

B.Download a CD code generator off of Morpheous or Kazaa,re-install,load up Cs and go back to cheating



I think the avergae cheater might give up and eitehr play fair,play CS single player,or move on to anotehr game and cheat on it.But the hardcore cheater,the real enemy,would do B. and then the real problems would start.I hope Valve can make anti-cheat software that finds away around that.And for 5-10% of the community cheating I think the number is more like 15-25%.Almost every server I go to there is someone who gets headshots all the time,gets head shots through walls,or brags about having the OGC hacks.This is beginning to become a serious problem.Server admins that used to compliment good players with scores like 75 and 9 or 10 are now paranoid and are kicking people who just joined and are 2 and 0.One of my friends who plays CS tells me about being 3 and 0 with the Desert Eagle and being blamed of having auto-aim.There is somehwat of a domino effect going on.Is CS becoming too popular for its own good?I remeber when there were only a thousand servers.Now there are something like 3,000 just for de_dust alone.I hope this problem is solved.If not what will the CS community fall back on?We shouldn't abandon CS we should fix the problem.

I'm afraid that the number is far closer to 80% of players in a server with no protection, 50% in a basic anti cheat server, and maybe 5% in a cs guard server, if that. As for community percentages, they are still increasing as ppl are leaving as they are getting so hacked off.

i guess i get luckeh... i get 30-0 scores alot and neva get banned (prolly cuz i neva play when adminz r around =D) and i run into a cheater only about once a week (prolly more but they realleh suck wit teh cheetz)

after reading almost all of the comments posted here i have so much to say, especially to those who say "go to another server if someone cheats" what if u r trying 2 have a good clan and get somewhere high in some ladder? what i want so say is, it makes me happy to see that the anti-cheat / honest cs community finally draws a line. keep hitting someone and eventually the time will come when it is enough. and HE WILL HIT BACK! everybody knows that. it is how revolts start and it is how the cheaters end begins.

I think that an ip data base needs to be put together for all the cheaters... the database needs to hold IP and wonid 's... server admins need to have access to this to ban all wonid's in the list. Cheating is cheap and show weakness... if you are cheating on public servers you deserve to never play the game again...these are probably the same people who never even played the full game of Half-Life....just a bunch of punkass dopes who need an ass beating!

There is alot of people cheating, but if you go on a server with a half-decent anti-cheat software, and software that gets updated regularly by the admins, you should be fine.



And I hear n00bs bitching to me because I'm on 56k (250 - 300 ping) and I go 30 - 5, 30 - 10 against a server full of broadbands.



The average CS player (95%) sucks, and looks for away to get out of it.

Unfortunately, CSGuard is already getting screwed, because it's so easy to get by..

I mean, if you think about it, all you have to do is 1 simple thing

I doubt I should say it in these forums, due to the fact that there are probably some cheaters that are scanning them.

But if you think about it, it's really easy to get around.

I don't think there will ever be a perfect anticheat, because the cheaters work faster and harder than the anti-cheaters.

Most cheaters are newbs, and the fact that the cheats are so userfriendly makes it worse.

I think that CheatingDeath is also something that you can get by, for the same reason you can get around CSGuard.

Well, the previews of 1.4 have said nothing about an anti-cheat, but hopefully before it's released there will be something done.. The fact that they changed the netcode so that the server doesn't pick up where you shot someone, instead of you, makes it so much easier to use aimbots. The code shouldn't have been available in the first place.

Guys i need some help. When i walk into a cheat protected server, the thing

automatticly bans me and says im cheating. I have never downloaded cheats

and all of a sudden it says im using flautz wall hack or some shit. really

weird. I have no clue what to do. Like 2 weeks ago i downloaded this auto

connect half-life thing from csnation.com... I uninstalled it after i kept

on getting banned from servers... I also uninstalled half-life and cs then i

reinstalled them.. then i deleted my half life restristry things... AND

STILL IT BANS ME!!! what am i supposed to do?? im banned from sooo many

servers now. I am clueless. Has anyone had this problem??? It makes no

sense, i have no cheats on my comp. i have never downloaded cheats either...

If anyone has any help send me a message. Im gonna go look at some public

If we didn't have the source code we wouldn't even have CS or any other mod, just plain HL and then the community would have died quickly and everone would just go play Crapake 3 or something...



Also in all the preview for 1.4, they have told about the anti-cheating feature.. and FYI 1.4 is being devoleped just for anti-cheating, not to fix bugs, so when you have a company that is dedicated to making its game great and gets paid I bet they will come up with some kinda cheat program or even modify the HL engine so cheating is not allowed in Hard Code... dunno.. I think these guys are great turning cheaters on each other and so forth.



I doubt a anti-cheat patch will hurt the community that is just bullshit, it will invite more people cuz when I talk to my firends that dont play CS it is becuase of all the cheats. I hope everone downloads that video from www.Lantrocity.com.. that IMO is what we should do to every cheater... Lan parties rock cuz you can get the gang and beat the shit out of a cheater... ahahaha
