Our own Sublyme (Austin) has slapped up a new article about a very interesting subject -- the underground anti-cheating movement:
However, a group of people have developed an effective way of stopping cheats, and that's the good old art of espionage. Espionage may be the Counter-Strike community's last hope, our Hercules. As you can tell, it's quite an interesting read. Go read it and tell us what you think.
Picture this -- a regular cs player approaches a cheating clan and offers his programming services. Over time, he is given confidential cheat information and is given top secret cheats -- top secret for a reason, as these clans don't want them leaked to services like Cheating-Death, CSGuard, Paladin, or, even in its heyday, PunkBuster. The programmer is a plant in a war for a game. He is secretly relaying these cheats and information back to anti-cheat programmers.
