I was thinking, since we have double agents on the cheaters side, what if they have agents on the anti cheaters side? They would totally screw things up. ???

Here's what I think is gonna happen to CS cheaters. I'm thinking eventually server admins will sit in servers and wait for a cheater. Upon finding one in their server, they will proceed to seriously f*ck up the cheater's PC. I also think some vigilantes will pop up, who will crash websites hosting cheats, and do the same things the admins might do in the game, nuking IP's and whatnot. Basically, the responsibility of stopping cheaters will eventually go into the hands of the players. I mean, there's like 400,000 CS players....besides, if you have AdminMod, there's always admin_bury ......hehehe....Comment

About a year ago I looked into cheating and found OGC. Who ever made that must be a real ass hole. OGC ruins CS for everyone. I'm very opposed to cheating and I'd like to become a member of something like the E Team.

One way to find out if you suspect someone is cheating if you are admin on your server you do admin_execclient <target> bind mouse1 (or whatever key they might fire with) "say DIE DIE" or the sort so you know if they are actually pressing it to fire or not, if that message never pops up you know they gots autofire on...easy way to bust some hax0rsComment

Yeah, really good idea! Cheaters have spoilt many games that I played. I really know that all they want is to get lots of frags. They never know what real frag is. Cheating in any case even in games will never do you good.Comment

cheating sux who cheats, only morons cheat cuz cheating is the way you turn more n00b, and when you stop you realize you suck alot, so you cheat again, that´s my philosophy, and watch and learn from non cheating good hardworkin fraggers to win the cheaters once and for all!!!!

I know I missed alot of this conversation but this article came to my attention and I had to say something on the topic...
Personaly I know I suck in CS, infact if ya want to call me a newb go right ahead, but the truth is that I have been playin CS for about 2-3 years off and on... (depending on what connection I have). The truth is I can see that it is probably peeps like me that end up cheating... those who try to compete and just can't cut it... and as it has already been stated... ya don't want to give up on a game ya paid for...
Now I DON'T cheat... so lets get that straight now... but I got a suggestion that if ya have the skill to make it work, it would probably be quite effective...
Here it is... Everyone knows there are bots for CS... alot of peeps use them for practice, myself included, by my question is why have they not been included in the fight against cheaters...
Look at it this way... If you could make a program that would recognize someone who is cheating and then have that program relay a command to generate a bot that would have the cheater as its only target, how long would it take before any cheater would actualy think twice before joinin the server.
Being as to the fact that it is server side and no actaul time from game play would be taken away from other peeps online, it could potentialy work... the thing is that bot programs out there are far from competent when dealing with a newb such as my self, let alone some one who has increased their advantage through cheating... But still a thought...
As long as it is stated before entering the game that players by the name of **** are counter cheaters then game play would go uninterupted and the bots would deal with the hassle of seeking and destroying a cheater...
Maybe there is just to much in this concept to actauly make it a potential way of combating cheaters but it would be something to consider if at all possible...Comment
