And there are plenty of cheats for the entire quake series, so your point not only makes absolutely zero sence, it's wrong.



Finally, you obviously are a cheater yourself or you would be supporting these guys and the work they are doing for this game and this community.

Cheaters bite. Cheating takes the fun and enjoyment out of a game. If people are proven to be cheaters, just don't play with them. Eventually they might get the hint that no-one wants them if they cheat.

I love the idea of espionage, keeping true to the counter-strike spirit. Keep it up team E!

jasinner, I'm pretty sure the only thing the PB team did was download the latest cheats, determine how they work, and write a detection for them. But then again, the whole point of espionage is you really don't know what's going on.

The crash script: download the 3k file put it in your CS dir, load up and internet game (with loads in it) bring down console and execute the crash.cfg send console back up then start hitting return, BOOOYAAAA every member on your team was kicked from the server, only worked on beta 7 i think.



the cheat no longer works and has not for well over a year now.



Was very funny though cause it would be 1 CT -V- 10 Ts

As a very mad skilled player, I am not as what people think i am. I hate the fact of going into a server, and when you make your first kill cause you hear the person reload, footsteps, change weapons, or hear the fall damage, and you pop them right between the eyes with a M4A1 colt mag, they instantly say 'CV|Apocalypse Hacks'.

Now WTF? is with that, not even 5 mins in the server and people already have a vote kick over your head, and these sissy admins who say 'oh oh oh i have cs-guard and it says you are hacking, well prove i am, and i will leave otherwise, stfu and learn the skill of the game'. Like common people, you can always see a wallhacker or aimbot, and like you know a server crasher to when you vote a certain person out and once it kicks him, the damn server crashes.



I want a succesful Anti-cheat but the coders out there do not advertise themselves like most pansies in here saying ' i sell cs cheats from the trunk of my car on the side of the road', like buddy grow up. Hopefully this cheating death that valve releases with cs v1.4 actually stops it all, and i guarentee that 90% of the people On Counter-Strike will Dissappear to the amount of OGC, Flautz, etc... wallhacks, aimbots.....etc....that is detected on their system and instantly banned.

it should be the Anti-Cheat scans your system for on the side running programs and wallhacks, etc....before the game even loads to whatever settings you have.

I am sick and tired of the cheating, remember Counter-Strike was Rated #1 for the biggest multiplayer game online, with the most players, and yet with all these cheats, this game will be a total flunk when Counter-Strike: Condition Zero comes out.

Realize what you want to do, do you want to cheat or do you want to play with challenge and earn that skill the hard way.

CV|Apocalypse brings up a good point:When we finaly get anti-cheat software that bans the cheaters even for a small aimbot a large chunk of the community will dissapear.Is it good?Is fewer people,more empty serevrs,but zero or little cheaters a good thing?It depends on why you play the game.I remeber in beta 6.1 I never saw a cheater in any server.Back then it was bunnyhopping that people were talking about.Now cheating.If we can't stop this(i.e. the "underground" and valve the CS community is in serious jeporady.

I disagree. If a fool-proof anti-cheat software ever gets released, people wont stop playing the game. They will just stop cheating. And even if all cheaters would give up CS, iI dont think thats a problem, I mean, it sounds like you think 80-90 % of the community is cheating, when the number is more likely 5-10 %.



P.S. I loved BEAT 6, even though there where "only" 1000 servers.

I knifed a cheater two rounds in a row once. They were both handgun rounds, and he ran out of ammo. He kept his cheats on after that.



The format that PB used was doomed to failure. The client version can be hacked, and a program can be written that sends the exact same information that the client sends when no cheats are found. I haven't kept up on this, but I'm pretty sure this is what happened. It just seems too easy to not happen. It would be cool if valve encrypted all transmissions, but that might take up too much processor. Anyway, gotta go, late for a class.
