I have had that message along with 'cd key in use', But I have done no wrong... please explain why this happens Im too much of a goddamn n00b to cheat? Im using the Merc Clan Skin Pak I think that had something to do with it, BUt I subbed the pks script (instead of the bundled rze helper...)and it happens less. Oh wise people of cs community please enlighten me. Is there something in the script? Some servers didnt like their ump model so I subbed that too,... Surely people wouldnt give us n00bs dodgy paks?

The best thing to do is to just play the game, end not use any skins, ad-ons and what not. You can edit enough in the console to get the game running well on just about any system.

I heard that cheats like ogc which rely on dll injection are detected by VAC because they are detectable through mem scanning and the like, whereas the still undetected cheats are mainly wallhacks which are OpenGL-hacks and can't be detected that easily because they work on a lower level (gfx drivers).

But by the time valve manages to include a csguard-like wh-block, cheating will probably be no issue anymore (if you visit the ogc forums these days you can actually have a good laugh at those whining crowd of little cheaters who don't know what to do w/o ogc, a simple wh isn't even enough for those losers to get an upper hand on honest player !).

Only thing I don't know is whether cheats like ak18f will still work, because it's an OpenGL-hack with wh, bh, aimbot and other stuff like crosshairs etc. So if it can't be detected (though wh/bh will eventually be blocked), isn't there a way to stop OpenGL hacking ? I'm no expert at this, but can't you prevent this too ? I think punkbuster did was able to a long time ago, but perhaps that's only due to the immature stage of the hacks back then.

i dont get it...."most" versions of OGC.....i know it gets the new ones....does this mean that there are a few old versions out there it may not get like v5 or v7 or sumthing? I have seen a lot of people get caught for OLD ogc verisons in mIRC by clicking that link....but never new versions...is there some loader or sumthing that allows homo erotic cheaters to still use old cheats undetected???

Can someone please fucking tell me. I just got the new official nvidia drivers, 40.71. WHY THE FUCK DOES IT BAN ME? I mean, the fucking VAC is don;t more harm than good. I wish it was just fucking removed, instead use HLGuard, its much better. Stupid thing won't let me play now, says I hack. Fix it please, now. I fucking wanna play.

I got a probably stupid question: Can you download VAC for listenservers in LAN somewhere ? I assume that VAC is only sent to the guys in the HLDS mailing list (yeah I know "sent" isn't exactly the right term, more like "their servers are automatically updated") ?

Yeah but aint it nice when you do it with your take on it, Im muslim (ahem but pissed, but allah is most forgiving and merciful) and there fore dojt like killing hizbollah or osama particularly, we need some Bush model\skins and blair (guys an asshole) adn even annoying celeb models to kill. How about the most annoying five people celebs to kill.
