This afternoon, after a successful beta test, VALVe updated the public security modules with new code designed to detect "most versions of OGC and all versions of Joolz."
Players caught with these hacks or other cheats will be banned from all secure servers for 24 hours. In the future VALVe plans to increase the ban time.
Update by rizzuh: CS-Nation previously reported that this includes VALVe's anti-wallhack code. This is not true and we apologize for the error.[break="Read today's messages from Eric Smith"]

*** This only affects Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat servers. ***Eric Smith's reply in HLDS about when there will be an update to stop all OpenGL cheats:
We've updated the public security modules again. These security modules should detect most versions of OGC and all versions of Joolz.
Your Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat servers should update themselves automatically.
Let me know if you have any problems with the security modules and we'll look into them right away. Thanks.

We're still working on this. We don't have a date when it will be ready yet.
