Yep, Steam's up and running for me at least. Haven't been able to connect for the past day... and it just magically worked tonight.



Got to see what I thought of CS 1.6's new stuff... yea, quick sum up:

FAMAS = loud and powerful MP5

Gailli = HS machine... will make AK obsolete if Valve doesn't fix that

Riot Shield = Fun, but kinda a pain if your backup runs away

Smoke Grenades = Awesome. Laggy. But Awesome.



Can't wait for the final to be released. One bug I caught (wasn't really looking for bugs... this one was just obvious). For some reason, when I bought a riot shield, and then a DE, everytime I shot the DE, it reloaded. I tried switching to other guns, same result. But when I dropped all my weapons, picked up the gun first, then the shield, it fixed itself. Anyone else have that issue?

I totally agree. Steam was messing up before for me too, but what do you expect, it's the BETA, and that's why the release BETA programs. And yea, the models do seem more detailed... at least the arms look nice. heh

1.6 is pretty good...



The galil is a nice switch to the ak.. The famas is hella accurate at burst fire... The riot shield is kind of a pain in the ass, but its fun to use...



The only thing I really dont like, it the number changes. b-4-1 is the galil instead of AK.. b-4-1 for ct's is famas... the awp is not b-4-5 and people keep buying the auto sniper and wasting money. Its a pain.. lol, but all in all, its pretty good. The new aztec kick ass as well..

I'm sorry, but at this time i cannot help but think of WarCraft 3 beta, i mean you guys can wait, you don't have to go aggainst the wishes of the people who made the games, if you like the game that much then respect those who made it by waiting for them to release it properly, though sadly i must admit i downloaded steam of one of those bad sites, i decided after doing so to delete it, and wait though, wait, it will be worth it, if you don't believe me just ask the millions of people playing cs 1.5...you decide.

I can play sometimes, can't some other times. The famas looks to be really cheap, and the riot shield seems pretty worthless. However, the new terrorist gun the famas is really nice. Hard to handle at first, but it grows on you. I dont really like the new map, but the redesigns of aztec and inferno are pretty sweet. The 3 frags for planting or defusing is just rediculous, i truly hope valve rethinks that one. Not seeing dead enemys on the scoreboard is a step towards realism, good or bad. Should add an intersting new element to clan matches..keeping track of how many you've killed..
