i really dont see the point of dling a beta....its not the real version that will be played on till 1.7 so whats the point of getting adjusted to new recoils and what not just to get everything possibly switched around on u...id just rather wait till the tru 1.6 comes out

Is it just me or is the burst on the FAMAS (or whatever it is) completely worthles...?

The Famas burst fire is worthless to me cus y would u need to switch from auto when u can just burst urself? I like the famas, but only the burst fire of it is worthless not the whole gun. I bought the G3 like 20 times trying to buy awp... i never learn from my mistakes... 8(

my problem : i start steam,log in,choose : play cstrike,find good server to play,after i push connect button few moments it connects like it should ,but then all work freezes and nothing happens,only restart helps.........any suggestions gentlemen?

i'm on 56k and i actually downloaded 1.6 (took about 2 hours -.- ), or updated or whatever, but when i try to open cs from the Games list on steam, it just opens up that desktop thingy. I dont even get the cs "start" button that i'm supposed to, anyone know how to fix this?

Okay is there anyway yet to get 1.6 in a .zip or .exe or anything besides Steam, because I want to set it up over LAN but it freezes everytime I try to do it through Steam. Also I FINALLY GOT v.16 to work after 3 hard days of relentless trying, yay. That riot shield is one mean puppy, great for taking out those pesky snipers since you can litterally walk right up to them the, BAM, oh, RIGHT IN THE HEAD!!! And I thought up fighting [Gladiator] Style w/ knife and shield. someone will make a map of that for sure, so if its you- "just put thanks to p0in7 bl4nk for this GREAT map idea." Okay in all seriousness now. The FAMAS and the Gali are great. GG VALVe.

I got this steam thing to work pretty easily. Sure, the download can seem a bit long, but once it's done it runs pretty good. I played with a ping of around 50, tried the new guns, some updated maps and I'm pretty satisfied on the overall. The new console & config GUI is also very cool. GJ VALVE !

Did anyone see last weeks episode of 24??



In it, some CT's have to break into a room with a hostage and a gunman. The CT leading in has a Riot Shield and a pistol, possibly a USP (but not sure). So he leads in, then Keifer Sutherland jumps from behind him and subdues the gunman with a bean bag shotgun. All the CT's outside are wearing almost the same uniforms as in CS ( navy blue clothes with helmet, which team is that?) and all carrying MP5's.



24 is a fantastic show, if you can keep up with seeing it every week. Check out that episode if you can, cause it's straight out of Counter Strike!
