LOL dm_dust LOL aztec is such a murderhole! Make some real maps!
Oh wait, 30,000 people are playing iceworld. The community is a fickle, ambivalent bunch of poptarts!

If you want a better look at what CS is supposed to be I suggest you watch some pro clan matches.
For those that enjoy DM CS, fine, you have your own servers. For those that enjoy "serious" play, it's not tough to find that sort of people out there too.On the contrary, it's excruciatingly hard to find those kinds of people in any decent numbers. Finding a decent server community is generally dependent on how much you're willing to let the admin's bullshit slide.
I see no reason why these three groups can't exist independent of one another.Because they won't stay on their side of the goddamned fence, that's why. Iceworld players wouldn't be worth a second thought if we could quarantine the little bastards from the rest of the server/gene pool.
If you don't like the proliferation of styles of playing CS that are contrary to your own, then welcome to the real world, buddy. There is no "play style" to be proliferated by FY_ players, unless "stupid" is now considered a style.

Anyone who has played it understands that it does have a world of strategies if you have the insight and patience to discover them.
I wont go into a discussion of all these strategies here.Because you don't know any and you're making shit up as you go.
It is worth noting that camping behind walls does not serve you particularly well on fy_iceworldBecause there are what, 2 walls to actually duck behind? Or is it because the map just doesn't "feel right" unless every player is making as much noise as possible, removing all elements of stealth? Or that it takes a whole 2 seconds to get anywhere on the map, which removes all elements of environmental tactics?
and consequently, forces many players to improve their close-range combat skills.Read: Holding down the trigger.
You know there's strategy in the map when it allows people the opportunity to fine tune their ability to hold the mouse button down.
Dude, one time i saw someone playing iceworld, and i could just tell he was a badass. He was so awesome that he could press the mouse button and finish the round before the button even made a click sound! That's pretty fuckin' leet right there.
the entertainment value is very high.No.
When good sportsmanship prevails, teamwork and strategy are what really matter....On every map that isn't fy_iceworld.
