these weapons are supposed to be deadly accurate, thats why they cost so much. the g3 at $5000 is worth the huge amount of money. and since the sig550 takes 3 shots to kill it costs a lot less at $4200 compared to the g3 which only needs 2 shots to kill. its not like these weapons are amazing for every situation, in close quarters they suck (as they should), for sniping they should excel above all other weapons.

Depends on who is using them. Me and a few people are able to get unzoomed kills easily (within a reasonable range).

The guns straight up rule now. They were fun before when a M4 user would die to one and complain, but now, you can mow them newb m4s down left and right without taking but a few damage.
They need to LEAVE this update alone, because its the only one that has been worth something since they bought the rights to CS.Comment

yes, leave the nade spamming. because its like a crude grenade launcher. and in maps like assault, nade spamming is necessary. same with office, CTs spam nades to stop Ts rushing the garage area. a bit like on prodigy, to stop ts rushing the corridor.
theres is a severe problem with the auto snipers, if u jump, the first shot lands dead on the xhair. then the shots after that go all over the place, like they should if ur jumping.Comment

The problem with that entire thread (which I'm still reading) is that they're missing the point of what I tried to do. I've seen a few people say I ruined it, but that's silly. Before I started reviewing them, it was simply galen posting a skin and saying ROXxX or something stupid like that. I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing how that's better than me actually installing the skin, going in-game and playing with it, and then writing a minimum of three paragraphs about it. I reviewed models based on how they went with the game. Personally, if the model looked great but had some inconsistencies, I'd give it a low score despite the author being famous on the forums of some random website. I'd much rather have a CS player reviewing skins than a modeler because a modeler will not focus on how the stupid thing feels in-game.
If you have the time, read all this:

Pretty much explains all you need to know about what 'happened' to the SOTD here ^_^
That brings me to another problem they seem to be having. There seemed to be quite a bit of discontent amongst their little circle of hate about random people such as myself doing skin reviews. I'll let you guys in on the secret of why I got the job: I CAN TYPE A COHERENT PARAGRAPH WITH MINIMAL GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. I doubt any of them would be reading this, but if they are I think it's worth pointing out that on CSN we care a lot about professionalism and the like, and it's certainly not going to reflect on us very well if we have morons running one of the most popular features of the site. That's not saying they're morons, but the majority of people that fail to be accepted do so because they're unable to demonstrate proper use of the language, not because CSN "is a bunch of fags."
But you can't please everyone, and it doesn't bother me if they don't like the SOTD because I'm not even affiliated with it anymore. If I wanted to be famous, I'd pretend to hate rizzuh and CSN like all the other cool people.Comment

puffycloud your opinion is the only one that matters when reviewing skins.
I never came accross a single skin that you loved that i didnt download and love just as much.
I made a skin pack of models that you gave 10/10 on, and passed it around my whole can, and they all loved them too, no complaints.
If you were to get back to reviewing skins, i would me more than thrilled!Comment

This is basically my point. It seems like a lot of the regular, average-joe CS players really enjoyed what I posted, while the hardcore modelers hated it because I didn't give them the proper credit they apparently assumed they deserved. I'll let you in on another secret as to how I chose what I reviewed: I went with what looked pretty. I didn't know who the people were, and I didn't care to learn. My job was to write reviews about custom models, not give handjobs to the most popular modeler of the time. I frequently e-mailed Djiesse telling him how much I loved his models, not because he was/is popular, but because his stuff was good. I guess the reality check was too much for some, but I'd rather have people like me enjoying what I reviewed in the end anyhow, so I'm pleased with my "legacy."

LOL, so true. That thread is nothing but morons with a keyboard. I got to the point where a person said along the lines of "a modelers opinion is better than a normal person, because when a architect..." and so on, before I about threw up. The reason for reviews is to HELP them get better, but its hard to help the people who refuse to be helped.

The average joe is the one using the model and the one who decides if they like it or not. Those modelers on that forum need to grow a brain and figure out that just because they created the model, doesn't mean that everyone should like it and avoid looking at all the flaws.Comment

I think removing the AWP wouldn't be a bad decision...Sounds fine to me...
I used the autosnipers before anyway, especially since I considered them 'above' the awp. I think they should remove the awp from the game now that the autosnipers are better. The autosnipers are the new awp: Without bolt action, you're able to take on 3-5 people all at once. And they're easy to get headshots with.
It's a major improvement from before (you basically had to be crouching AND not moving in order to have 100% accuracy (and only on the first shot of a burst), and you had like .2% accuracy otherwise). Maybe too much of one, since you can practically strafe, jump, crouch, and play solitaire with your other hand while still capping headshots left and right. A smaller accuracy boost, but keep the damage boost.Comment

I didn't read all these AWESOME comments so FUCKING forgive me if I repeat some SHIT here.
The gs3g2g152gadg3g23 or whatever feels like an auto-scout now, well, until you get out to a certain range.
