I'm surprised at how close this one was. When I skimmed over the comments, it seemed like the knife was getting mostly negative comments. Oh well, the community has spoken; the knife is acceptable!

A day late, I know, but for good reason! Because of the delicious power outages, I was in the dark for a few days. Anyhow, who would you vote for in the California recall? For those unfamiliar with the entire thing, the crazy Californians are apparently going to kick their governor out of office and pick a replacement from a crop of excellent candidates such as Gary Coleman and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Of course my (rizzuh's) first idea was to have a mock poll about this! Sadly, Phoenix Connektion and Guerilla Warfare have been caught in the middle of a spicey affair and Arctic Avenger has left his long-standing political career to pursue acting.

Since we've been on the topic of headsets and stuff like that for the past few days, what do you use? I have a $20 plantronics headset, but I have a very nice pair of Sony headphones that I prefer to use for sound, so I just throw the headset around my neck and point the microphone up. Yeah, it's pretty sweet.

It's that time of the week again! Well, actually, it's a day late, but who's counting? You may or may not know this, but I think some new program came out a couple days ago. It's called Vapor or something like that. I'm not really sure because it hasn't caused any drama at all! Anyhow, what do you think about Steam's release? Hello poll fans, it's that time of the week once more. In an attempt to get away from this 1.6 craziness, I thought we should look at something else this week. What do you think about CS for Xbox? In the past couple of weeks, we've seen some new information about the game, topped off by that video rizzuh posted two days ago.

As expected, the community seems to be slow to accept the changes. However, anyone that's spent any time in CS knows this is how it goes. It is nice to see people realizing that we'll adapt eventually, even if it takes a little while. I think some work does have to be done on that shield, though.

Since the only CS news is 1.6 stuff, let's talk about that. I'm sure everyone's been playing around in public servers getting a feel for the new guns, but does anyone take them seriously? We all know CS has about 400 guns no one uses at all, and I'm eager to see if we're about to have 403.

Well, it seems CS belongs on the computer. I voted for "Rent first," but it's only getting that much because it's CS. Nothing about the game aside from the name has actually made me say "Hey, that looks awesome." We'd better watch out, though, they could be hiding all the goodies from us!

However, what will happen to this highly-anticipated game? How bad do you think the source code leak will hurt HL2? I hope not much. It would be a shame to further delay such a (hopefully) great game.

Well, I guess they finally put some good weapons into CS. According to CSN, the new stuff rocks. I don't use either new gun, but I'm only in CAL-Open so what do I know about CS? I tried to use the FAMAS last night on a public server and I got so frustrated that I ended up just waiting for the guy to come at me so I could shoot him with my USP instead.

Hey dudes, my poll last week got mega obsoleted!! Oh well, I guess everyone who voted "Delayed" before the news should get a +3 Miss Cleo bonus. Anyhow, since rizzuh just wrote up that nifty exclusive hands-on CS:CZ preview, I think it's time we voted! What do you think about CS:CZ now? Personally, while I do like new models and stuff, I'd rather the game not suck. It seems that others value eye candy more, though.

It seems that most people don't really care about CS:CZ anymore. I suppose it could be considered good news that the majority of the "don't care" population has been turned off by the massive delays and developer switching, so perhaps they could be bribed back into loving it as the release draws near. 35% of people were still excited, though, so I'm sure that works out to a bundle of cash for someone!

What's up dudes?! The weeks sure do fly by when you're not just sitting on your ass all day. Anyhow, since there isn't too much crazy news going on, how long have you been playing CS? I know a bunch of us (myself included) have stopped for a while and then started again, but just vote according to what you consider your "starting point." For example, I played it for about 3 hours when it first came out, but I didn't really start playing a lot until beta 5.2 or so. Thus, I wouldn't vote in the OLD SKOOL category. Cool? Yeah, I thought so too.

Do you watch CS movies?
I'll take a peak at the occasional movie or skill video from the elite teams.	53%

I used to hate skill videos, but a few of them every once in a while can be good. They show you good spots to shoot through and even occasionally a good strategy or two (although demos are much better for that). I'm not sure how people can continuously watch them, though.
