I think the changes are a good idea.

But maybe it's just because I lost a pug 2 minutes ago that we would've won by planting the bomb with 10 secs left. Just one damn round!!~ :/

i guess then nobody uses the quake defaults anymore but they are so fun moveforward mouse 2 rox and you can eat or phone while playing for iceworld you dont even have to touch the keyboard (spray and pray)

There is absolutely no advantage to WASD over ESDF. With ESDF, you can use a greater range of keys.

With my pinky resting on the side of the keyboard I can still reach "H" on the home row. With my catcher mit hands I still find it best to use WASD using the tab, Caps, and shift really as reference points. This also keeps me from mashing too many keys under the same finger :P

I got a couple scrims in (you knew this right?!) with the new system, and a match, and I can safey say that the changes really add a nice lil spark to match play. Live Counter-Strike Gameplay on Three Round Restarts.



Edit: and the 2:30 timer changes nothing really, it's actually a necessity, and it would be absolutely insane not to see this implemented as a rule since you can plant with 3 seconds left. If they don't change it, rounds will last over 3:30. If CAL really wants to keep people on their toes and do some crazy testing during pre season with the round time, they should go for a 2 minute timer which basically gives you 30 seconds less time to do your strat than before the new updates.



As of right now rounds are just as "slow" as before, except there wont be anymore eco save rounds which have the Ts camping out the timer.
