Exactly what I was about to say. The sheild is horible, its like when I'm rushing in the tunnel in de_dust, and I see a guy with a sheild, I then have to run back. I think maybe they should make the sheild smaller so that part of the guys head and legs are showing or something, I have no idea what VALVe was smoking when they thought the sheild was a really good idea (to permentely un-even teams.) Other than that, I like that new map de_airstrip and the Galim but the FAMAS sucks, I think of the FAMAS as being more of a sub-machine gun.

i don't really have a problem with the shield, it's just annoying as hell dealing with 10 shield wielding fragots.

Not everyone understands it, but the sheild sucks. It decreases your movement and you can only use pistols with it.

It only takes one galil-weldling terrorist to wipe out an army of "sheilders".

Thank god its still in Beta, VALVe better get there shit together and make the sheild somehow not as good as it is now.

Competitive CS is ruined if the shield remains. Ask any CAL i team.

The shield just doesn't fit into the game in the first place if you ask me. It's a riot shield.

You seem to forget that you can shoot an AWPer. You see someone coming at you with a shield, you can't do any damage to them (unless you throw a nade at them and they're too stupid to dodge it).

i think the biggest problem with the shield is only the CTs can purchase it. Both teams can buy AWPs.

then something is seriously wrong with your system. My 1.4GHz athlon with geforce3 was a solid 100fps in 1152x864. Now I have a barton 3200+ (ok, a 2500+ barton overclocked to 3200+, hehe) and an fx 5900 and I still get a solid 100fps in 1152x864, but now with 4x AA and 8x aniso turned on. Not sure what's wrong with your machine, but if a 1.4GHz athlon and geforce3 is faster than it, obviously something *is* wrong.
