Another untested release from Valve that brings gaming to a screeching, burning, smoking halt!
Ever hear of in house testing Valve? See, its where you take an update and actually run it on your own machines to make sure it works BEFORE you release it to millions of clients. Typically it helps to make sure bad code doesnt get out.
I have been admin'ing your pos software for 5 years and I cringe to even think about all the hours of my life wasted trying to repair the damage you have caused with your POFS 'updates'. Stop using the community as your testing grounds, get your head out of your collective arses and start practicing some BASIC software release techniques.
You put out some great games but in the software development company circles your name is used as a punchline. Sad really.

It would also be nice if 70fps didn't look like 20fps. Maybe it's just my junky video card, but CS:S is always jerky, even though it's running at +60fps.
The big problems that need to be fixed in the SOURCE engine are the netcode/lag problems. Both CS:S and HL2
M are always a tad laggy, and get extremely laggy if you are playing with pings of 100+.Comment

Right, where the hell is DemoTool.exe then? ive searched my computers file system and its not there. Is valve adding fake notes to make their updates look more full?
If it is hidden somewhere in my system then it would be nice to know where it is

Hear hear! HL2DM runs fine for me since the update (better then before, see below)..
It works fine for me. It also apparently works fine for countless others as well.
Ever stop to think that maybe you should take better care of your OWN hardware before blaming others? No? I figured not.Urban Terror wrote..
CS:S feels smooth to me (I play with ping 20-30), much more so then HL2DM.. But now with this latest update HL2DM feels more smooth as well.. I think Valve tweaked the behaviour with/on physics objects, it feels much more smooth now running over stuff etc.. Only ladders still feel a bit jerky (something that's a lot smoother in CS:S), but that's not a real biggy.. All in all this is a good update imho..

Next week we get a CS:S update, lets wait and see what that brings us..Comment

A Steam update from Valve causes my hardware to go bad? Dont be an idiot. How many servers do you currently run? Your moronic statement makes it clear that number is zero.

All people like you know how to do is hit 'connect' and by some magical force off you go to gaming land. If you had one additional brain cell you might be able to comprehend that there are people out there like myself who keep your magical gaming experience possible, in spite of Valves best efforts.
Check the Steam server admin forums and know your facts before you post idiotic replies to posts such as this.Comment

still its a shame that recording demos drops everyones FPS right down now, unlike HL1 where demo recording was unoticable
