I Also hope they update the AI in CSS. Having the 5 year old 1.6 (dumbass hostages) in a new game like CSS is just wrong. Put in atlease the CZ AI.

Does anyone else notice there is a huge drop in system performance whilst using a large number of bots. (New sysytem amd64 3200+, geforce6800gt 150fps at max details, 1gb corsair xmsxl3200). I would hope that this would be optimized in the future, after all the main bugs have been fixed however.

Seriously, ever stop to think your precious hardware was never up to snuff before you bothered to update? No? Holy crap! You're only one of the minority of people who are having problems.



Don't start pulling power trips when all you're doing is crying a river that the rest of us (the majority of those who do not have problems) have to step over in order to play without problem. When the majority of people don't have problems, you really should start looking to your own machines, and stop trying to act like you are not at fault for your inability to properly maintain your hardware.



Oh, by the way, those Steam admin forums you wanted me to check out? A majority of posts deal with people not knowing how to forward ports, asking what is the best OS to use (or specific version in the case of Linux servers), or asking how to set up rcon since they can't properly read any number of documents that are already out there which provide step-by-step instruction.

I've run three servers since I originally got 1.6, april of '03. Never once did I have any problems with steam, occasionally I would have a 'can't connect' spurt, but that was from my router and multiple systems. Heres what you can do: Fix your shitty computer(s).

hldsupdatetool.exe -cmd update -game "hl2mp" -dir c:\hl2mp

2. update tool runs and downloads files.

3. run Steam executable.

4. select game from drop down list...hrmm only option available "Counter-Strike Source" HL2 multi player no longer an option.
