For those who get the error I mentioned above, simply delete your ClientRegistry.blob file and restart Steam. It will update itself again.

    Works for me!

I hope they keep updating the browser to give it ASE type functionality.
I agree very much, the server browser is somewhat limited. Sometimes you feel to play on a performant vanilla server, sometimes it's fun to get some stats displayed ...and I don't even mention the times you feel being abused by some AMX admins (gg amx_flash.sma :P). ASE ease the selection of the perfect server for that particular moment [but the interface is so ugly I don't load it anymore ...anyway the game launch part always fail for me, same with HLSW ].

the only thing i've wanted them to fix, which they still haven't done, is to stop the spec_menu from randomly turning off

This is a bad update. Stay away from it!

Steam will no longer start and crashes with this error:
I'm getting the same glitch. Hopefully deleting the .blob file works.

did anyone NOT get this error?

steam.exe(main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 0184A83B : Attempt to read from virtual address 5461839 without appropriate

                access rights

I have 5 computers and they all had the problem. Fixed by removing the blob file. gg valve.

                  I didnt get the error,

But at the other side, my server was fucked once again...

This time the dudes from valve thought it was clever to check all files on the server if they are the same as they have, if not, the file redownloads... So this way it disables meta mod after every update... Clever clever guys...
