Yea, not just CAL days, but CAL-O. Like 10,000+ people are gonna be all pissy if they are downloading the update all slow. Just have the updates over the weekends. Thats when im guessing the least amount of people will be playing CS (except for people like me who have no life :-D)

Updates will always be released when someone is playing, is the way the cookie crumbles.

At least they usually give a time when the update will be released. "tonight" is a little vague.



I am sure updates will become smaller and faster as time goes on. Having to redownload the entire steam system when an update is released is not only a pain for us but a waste of precious bandwidth.

its not like theres a lot to DL...so 10,000 ppl may not even affect steam's network.

Steam figured it wasn't bad enough releasing buggy updates off of shitty ass slow servers, they had to do it on a CAL night ;D
