The Bluehole developed PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has already surpassed $11 million sales in its first three days of being on Steam Early Access. The developer, based in South Korea, announced this detail today along with the fact that it has topped 67,000 concurrent players.
The game is currently available on Steam for just $30 and aims to surpass rivals in the genre such as H1Z1. It probably stands to reason since the team includes the original creator of the competitive open-world "battle royale" genre. Brendan Greene made the original PlayerUnknown's Battle Royale mod for Arma 3 and worked on the Battle Royale mode for H1Z1.
From the looks of things, the game already seems to be in a better state than H1Z1 currently is, though both games are insanely popular right now.
