Ubisoft Expects Rainbow Six Siege to Sell More than 7 Million Copies

Ubisoft is being super optimistic today. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, and CFO Alain Martinez said that they expect Rainbow Six Siege to do better than Far Cry (4) over its lifetime.

Alain Martinez:
"Traditionally we’re at about 3 million." But, "because of its replayability and multiplayer, (Siege) might have the potential to do better than Far Cry over its lifetime."

Right now, Far Cry 4 is sitting at just over 7 million units sold since its release last year.

Guillemot is remaining optimistic as well and claims, "this game will continue to live for a long time as we update with content for a long time." Undoubtedly the company hopes that this commitment to a lengthy period of support will help translate into big sell-through numbers.
