Destiny Beta on Xbox One Confirmed for Sub-1080p Resolution

Bungie revealed via IGN that the Destiny beta on the Xbox One will not be running at 1080p like its rival the PlayStation 4.

Bungie's Community Manager stated that there is "always time for improvement" prior to the game's launch. On that note, the company is aiming to make the game run at 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One come launch day. It's also noted that the aim is to have both versions of the game run at a steady 30fps.

Even more interesting is that while the beta won't be running at 1080p on the Xbox One, new footage from the Xbox One version of Destiny will be released that has the game running at 1080p. You should expect to see a bit of that next week.

The Destiny beta begins tomorrow, July 17 on the PlayStation platform.
