Sony Pictures Registers Domains for BioShock Movie

Sony Pictures was discovered to have recently registered three new domains pointing towards a BioShock movie. As with most of these cases, it could simply be an attempt to lock down the domains and may not indicate any actual film is being worked on.

However, it doesn't hurt to keep that hope alive.

Sony Pictures now holds the rights to BioShock-Movie.com, BioShock-Movie.net, and Bio-Shock.net.

This is yet another in a long string of potential BioShock film adaptations that were either rumors, hopes of some actors, or outright cancellations. Ken Levine had already canned one project since he didn't want anything to be compromised for a film adaptation. Courtnee Draper, the voice of Elizabeth in BioShock Infinite has been campaigning to portray Elizabeth for a film adaptation of the series. Gore Verbinski was also interested in creating a film based off of the series, but that one would be more focused on Rapture than the flying city of Columbia.
