Slim PlayStation Vita Coming to the US Alongside Borderlands 2 for Vita

Sony announced that the redesigned "slim" PlayStation Vita that's already available in Japan and Europe will be making its way to the United States. Not only that, but it will be released at the same time as the Vita version of Borderlands 2 as part of a $199 (USD) bundle deal.

The bundle will include the slim PS Vita, Borderlands 2, an 8GB memory card, and six DLC packs for the game.

The slim device is 15% lighter and 20% thinner than its predecessor. The only major shortcoming with this new design is that it uses an LCD screen instead of the OLED screen on the original device. This means there will just be the slightest degradation in picture quality but it will result in better battery life.
