It's like getting three games for the price of none.

Sony revealed the free PlayStation Plus titles coming for June 2019. Those with an active PlayStation Plus subscription will get the following two titles for the PlayStation 4. They are Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania.

For those not in the know, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is actually two games bundled together. Those games being Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and the vastly superior Borderlands 2. It's almost as if you're getting three games for the price of free* (*assuming you have an...

This is Why Claptrap has a New Voice Actor in Borderlands 3

David Eddings says Gearbox just didn't want to pay him.

If you've seen any promotional material for Borderlands 3 in the past couple of weeks, you may have noticed that Claptrap sounds quite a bit different from what you're used to. This is because David Eddings, the voice behind the robot in all of the previous games has been replaced by Jim Foronda.

The reason? Money. Specifically, the claim from Eddings that Gearbox didn't want to pay Eddings for his work in Borderlands 3.

Yesterday on Twitter, a fan asked Eddings if he was still voicing Claptrap in Borderlands...

Those that own the first Borderlands, or Borderlands 2, or Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel now have some HD upgrades along with some new content in a couple of cases.

Today, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition was released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For the console players, you'll have to buy this one fresh. Those that own the game on PC will get a free upgrade to the Enhanced release via Steam. There does seem to be a small issue...

The original Borderlands is getting a big updated release.

According to 2K, this will be free to everyone that owns Borderlands on PC via Steam. This also marks the release date for the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel Getting Free 4K Texture Update Next Week

Today during the PAX East 2019 panel from Gearbox, it was revealed that Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel will each get Ultra HD texture packs as a free download. These new textures will be for almost everything in the game including characters, vehicles, weapons, and environments.

In addition to these higher resolution textures, the extra content will include higher resolution dynamic shadows, better screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO), and improved anti-aliasing.

Gearbox Teases Some Borderlands Reveal for PAX East 2019

Late in February, Gearbox announced that they will have a presence at PAX East 2019. Today, the development studio put an exclamation point on that announcement by teasing something that looks a hell of a lot like the Borderlands art style.

The tweet was nothing more than the ubiquitous eyes emoji 👀 along with a stylized road sign saying "March 28" and "Boston, MA" in the Borderlands style. I'm assuming this is going to be Gearbox's big Borderlands 3 reveal. It's either that or they are just being massive jerks and there won't be anything Borderlands related...

Borderlands 2 VR Announced for PlayStation VR

A new Borderlands game was announced today! Yay! But it's a re-release of Borderlands 2? Ehh. But it's in VR! Yay! But it's only for PlayStation VR. Boo. It's also only single player. Boo! I have many conflicting emotions about this announcement!

Anyway, Borderlands 2 VR was announced today for PlayStation VR. That's really what I was getting at here.
Key features for Borderlands 2 VR on PS VR include:Virtually Step onto Pandora: Step into the boots of a treasure-seeking Vault Hunter armed with 87 bazillion possible guns on a quest to line your pockets with loot and free Pandora from Handsome Jack's clutches. Blast bandits with real-world

March 2017 "Free" Games with Gold - Evolve, Layers of Fear, and More

March looks to be a rather interesting month for the free Games with Gold on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. One of the games included is Evolve, a game that technically no longer has its original developer working on it. The console versions of the game don't (the last I knew at least) have the latest F2P mechanics and content added to it as the PC version currently has. So that might be a thing.

If nothing else, Xbox owners will get to play the enjoyable Layers of Fear and Borderlands 2. There's also Heavy Weapon which is also a game.
Starting on March 1, play as a disturbed painter obsessed with finishing his masterpiece, haunted by his

    Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Review

Second verse, same as the first.

Even after 30 hours spent with the game, a full completion of the normal game and a small bit of True Vault Hunter Mode played, I still cannot help but feel like Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a glorified expansion for Borderlands 2. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved Borderlands 2. I spent over 148 hours in Borderlands 2 and still never explored all of that game's content.

    Therein lies the rub.

Here we have a game that is mechanically almost identical to its predecessor. You still go from area to area, shooting things, doing missions, and collecting loot. It's still almost the same exact inventory system, HUD elements, and even weapons. The only real difference now is that it takes place on a moon and a space station, features worse writing than its predecessor features, and introduces an annoying gameplay mechanic that literally offers nothing positive to the game experience. Yet, it still ends up being a better "shooter looter" game than Destiny could ever hope to be. Let's be real here, there is more story in the opening cinematic for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel than there is in all of Destiny....
