A few days ago, it was hinted that there would be no Star Wars games making their way to the Wii U from EA. The games are more than likely going to be built off of the Frostbite engine and EA has no intentions of making that engine work on the Wii U hardware (even though they have a mobile version of the engine coming, shh).
Today, it was revealed that EA is kind of just giving up on the Wii U completely. Like totally, not just when it comes to Star Wars but with everything.
Jeff Brown, a spokesperson for EA told Kotaku:
Oh man, that has GOT to hurt! But wait, what about the E3 2011 promise EA made for an "unprecedented partnership" between EA and Nintendo for a bunch of Wii U titles? Yeah, seems EA already fulfilled that obligation.
Man that has got to suck for Wii U fans and owners. Maybe it's about time Nintendo pulled a Sega and started just making multi-platform software titles? A Mario and Crash Bandicoot mashup on the PlayStation 4, how fantastic would that be‽
