Just a few hours ago, the host of GameTrailers TV Geoff Keighley, noticed that one of his Xbox Live accounts was compromised and the person ended up spending quite a considerable amount on "Gold Jumbo Packs." Doing what anybody in the same situation would do, Keighley contacted Xbox support and was informed that his account would take up to 25 days to be investigated and during that time his account would be locked from access.
Taking the message to Twitter, Keighley was given a few responses back from gamers in similar situations, but he was also sent a message from Stephen Toulouse, Xbox Live's Director of Policy and Enforcement. Literally, the response time between Keighley's Tweet and Toulouse telling him to send him a private message was just about one hour.
Now, there's no saying if Keighley's account was already fixed or will be fixed within the next day or two, but there are people out there who have been waiting months to hear back anything concerning their compromised account, myself included. Where are the personal messages from Stepto to the rest of us?
Someone I know has been waiting over three months for full access to be restored. I've been waiting over two and a half months now just to have Microsoft Points refunded that the person who gained access to my account had spent. Someone else is nearing the one month waiting mark. This is beyond unacceptable at this point.

Fun times - looks like one of my XBOX Live accounts was just hacked and someone had fun buying a lot of "GOLD JUMBO PACKS" today.
Just talked to Xbox Live support - My Xbox Live account will now be locked for *25 DAYS* while they conduct an investigation!
@Stepto Thanks, just sent you a DM
