The only thing i find slightly worrying about this is that the maps in BC1 were BIG and with only 24 players it was fairly small amount of players and i rarely saw any big firefights due to the lack of people.

With the supposed BIGGEST maps ever seen in BF coming to BC2 and still only having 16 a side is it still going to feel so deserted?

The demo will be delayed, the game will be delayed, every BF game has lol. I'm hoping for end of May as that will be BF2's 5 year anniversary.

im pretty sure bf2 was august? when i joinned here,as i actually had a copy before release and was told not to go online with it

one thing against 64 players is not more fighting over vehicles,that is if they add enuf

one thing 1942 had ,was enough vehicles for everyone to use:thumbsup:

I am not liking the sounds of this COD tunnel maps,battlefield was never ment to be a COD game god damn it:evil:

i really think a new dice team would be better and one that listens to the community or asks "what do we want"

I doubt maps will be bigger than 1942?especially el Alamine(which my grand dad was in, in real life as a desert rat:yay:)

Did I understand it right that in rush the map expands every time 2 crates are destroyed? that way bigger maps won't mean less confrontation, as there's a differende between a big map thats wide and open and a big map, that has a narrow path.

kinda upset but the fact it doesnt have 64 players online is a huge turn off so i guess ill be sticking to bf2 and 2142 till bf3 comes out

Exactly. Going backwards in game play is not a good trade off for destructible buildings.

Rarely played in anything over 32 anyway on my end and lower player count doesn't automatically mean the gameplay isn't good. I'm just happy to have a new BF title for the PC.

BF3's only hope is to be a PC only game so it can't possibly be a console port.

If speculation is to be believed that the next deus ex game is a PC exclusive, we may be coming out of the 2009 (ill say this is the central point) PC gaming slump.

I say it Peaked at the MW2 fiasco. There is hope yet. People may not realise this but progression wise, xbox and PS3 are slowly dieing. Wii died after the novelty of it wore off (but it still makes sh!tloads of money through little kiddies).

I have a theory (I dont have full faith though) that BF3 WILL be a PC exclusive. If not, the console versions will be crappy ports, or entirely different games, ala Battlefield 2: modern combat. We may see PC>console ports soon enough. Then the Xbox 3 and PS4 come out and well impatiently wait for the slump to end.

Also, my issue with larger player counts is that Heaps of servers will go to the limit, which means less servers due to server strength of server providers, and less low-player servers of say, 16 or even 32 (if very high).
