Quite funny hearing the reasons, but yes I'd love to see it handle PC level player numbers

as for VAC, never been too sure as to why bans are delayed but in some ways it makes a lot of sense, a player cheats and thinks hes gotten away with it, delaying the ban potentially means you get more information on the hack or more people start to use it, in which case they all receive the mighty banhammer and have to buy new accounts in order to play the game mwhahahahahaha

AND if the VAC system works like it does in CSS, which I assume it will, cheating and being VAC banned in COD6 means that you would need to get a new account and buy another copy of the game

    much lols considering the price

I dont have a problem against VAC. Im just saying that the delayed bans mean that theres going to be a lot of rooms with cheaters which in turn is inferior to a proper PB and administered servers. PB also has an entire community around it with PBbans at the helm.

In short, this response is so full of sh!t that it could even keep Titanic afloat.

And here's a photo, which was taken earlier this morning, that shows an Infinity Ward developer working hard on MW2 PC version.

The sad thing is, I'm starting to think he actually buys his own crap.
Since he only plays on a console, he thinks listen servers are actually viable, and no one could possibly want to play with more than ten people. Console players seem inured to the constant lag and roll-of-the-dice connections and hitreg. Their aimbots must help with that...

They also seem to buy into the whining propaganda from console players that claims that everyone hacks and bots on the PC. Considering I've never seen a cheater in MW1, and only two in WaW, and I have about 1000 hours in MW1 and 600 or so in WaW, it isn't the epidemic they claim. And by taking admin away from vested members of the community who pay for servers and giving it to random hosts, more people will be wrongly kicked for "hacking" just for being better than the host and people who cheat and get past VAC will have no one to stop them.

What kind of technological geniuses came up with a way to make someone's $500 Compaq and 3M/512K DSL more powerful than a quad quad-core CPU and 16GB RAM with a mainline broadband pipe? I want to see their glowing eyes and translucent skulls, for surely they must be extraterrestrials!

wow, what a console b****. I was happy looking for the exact server I wanted to join, with the right rules and the right admins. He answered nothing that we have complained about, and for one reason, he has never felt how beutiful a serverbrowser with 700servers is. I was also perfectly happy with Xfire as my friendslist, cause of the fact that it is more universal.

Actually they took it one step further because even BFH, regardless of what you think of the game, has dedicated servers.

The problem with matchmaking is WE DONT WANT A COMPUTER CHOOSING WHERE WE PLAY. We want to choose where we play. This is the same thing valve did. They always had perfectly capable Server Browsers then when Left 4 Dead came out they decided to have crappy matchmaking which pretty much ruined the experience.

I don't know about you but reading these developer comments do they think we are dumb and not capable of finding a server?

It honestly sounds like they just wanna be lazy and just port it from the consoles that's essentially how they work. I'll just wait for Battlefield, not spending 60$ for a console port

Would you trust them? They could show off perfectly smooth 40 player server but neglect in telling you the game is being hosted off the same LAN all the clients are hooked up to.

I still don't know if the IW.net service hosts the game server or if it's up to individuals with DSL lines to be the host.

It sounds like the client is the server/host to me.

IWNET takes the benefits of dedicated servers and allows them to be utilized and accessed by every player
playing off of someones cable/dsl connection wouldn't be much of a benefit.

Why didn't they just copy what DICE has done with the Battlefield games, they do the stat tracking and you can only rank up by playing on dedicated "ranked" servers - which many clans pay for. It's like they're pissed off at all the GSP's for making money off of the hosting business.
