    Thats well said, Key.

PC Gaming did make the franchise and probably saved Infinity Ward as a company. They turn around and **** us over with this ****.

I was annoyed when they didnt release a special edition for PC.

I was further irritated to learn the game is increasing in price.

I was on the edge, but still hoping they could pull this out their asses but this has destroyed my faith and love for the franchise.

I've been looking forward to this game since the last one came out and if they're gunna churn out this kinda **** combined with World At War which was not the same as Call Of Duty 4 at all, then I'm done with them.

Unless i hear any evidence otherwise, I will not be purchasing the game.

Sadly, if you read the petition, this is only going to increase piracy.

It has ruined what people have loved COD for. Now people will pirate it, play Single Player and move on/wait till Dedi servers are released.

Now, this won't be a mass movement, only the hardcore gamers will be affected by this. 402 said right out in his interview that "This is to help the average gamer have a better experience". When asked about the Server Hosts and Clans .. he basically said "Oh Well".

When they also said that since the 1990's PC Gaming has been all about Dedicated Servers and Clans, he basically said "Well, Infinity Ward is changing the way PC Gamers will be allowed to play our games. Console players like it, and we feel PC players will too."

      OBLIVIOUS! THESE GUYS ARE CLUELESS!

Indeed. IW knows that piracy will go up, and I suspect their going to use that as an excuse next time around when they dont put COD on the PC. After the developments of today and the ensuing community reaction i fully expect this to be the Final Cod Game to appear on the PC SKU.

Is this alongside the Rampant theft and piracy of console games?

I recently went looking for console piracy figures and guess what there are no figures despite the fact I know fine well you can get the latest Xbox games for £5 a game and a bundle of 20 wii games of your choice for £20 Piracy is just as big a problem for consoles as it is for PC also look at Steam as a platform with falling rates of Piracy for their games. Piracy is just an excuse for many things however it is not as big a problem as its made out to be.

there's a hell of allot more pirated xbox360 versions of modern warfare running right now than PC versions.......This wasn't done for piracy reasons, i don't care what BS they say....it was done to cut corners in development to streamline the PC with the console versions and save a few bucks.

PC now takes a backseat in game development because we cant compete with parents purchasing games for whinny kids just to shut them up for a few hours. They could totally curb multiplayer piracy by adopting a serial number and log in server system like DICE did for BF2.

That is if they can figure out how to make us pay for the DLC, Some will be on steam, others wont. The only way it would remotly work is if you forced everyone to pay for patches, but then again it would just end up on the torrents. IMO after todays reactions IW might throw the PC users a bone and give them to us for free.

Treyarch will notice the community reaction, what IW is doing is a very good example of what not to do to an established online community.

It's not about piracy, it's about wanting to create a unified player experience that THEY have ultimate control over.

side benefits from a money making perspective is that it puts a cap on user created content so they can sell DLC.

I'm just extremely suspect of their ability to host games off of their IW.net service.

I keep reading this, and it seems like some dream that we all came up with of 'what is the worst that IW could do to CoD on the PC' and they have done it, and it's real...:|:

I believe the comment of "10-29-2003 - The day Call of Duty was born on PC; 10-17-2009 - The day Call of Duty died on PC" sums it up for me. :shakehead:
