We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Soon as I saw this I KNEW there were going to be a few people pissing and moaning about them giving the boosters away free. Hilarious. Glad I didn't buy em.
I'm really pumped for this. I've just been dipping back into BF2 this month again after playing on and off for years and it's still so much fun, but getting new maps and weapons to play around with should keep me playing for a long time now. I'm just not looking forward to getting this 2GB monster downloaded at 85 kb/s. Damn DSL.
well now everyone that bought them will actually get to play the boosters because there will be enough servers with people in them so stop complaining!!

Yeah, I spent $50x2 for the base game, $30x2 for SF, and $10x2x2 for AF and EF. I got a set of each as they came out for my wife and myself. So $200. $40 of that was pretty much wasted due to the limited number of servers for the boosters and then I went to Korea for a year. When I came back, the few servers that were within my acceptable ping range were either gone or padding servers.
I see this as a way to finally get my money's worth out of these maps. I couldn't be happier that everyone is getting access because bouncing a cool ball all by yourself is no fun.
I just hope servers actually run these maps instead of going, "Meh, Karkand IO FTW..."
Even just Great Wall IO would be a change at least.
I remember having "Armored Furry" nights with friends where we'd run around in a squad on Road Rage and Harvest, ambushing tanks along the road and hiding from the A-10. This is definitely going to bring me back to ranked BF2 for at least a few days.
The overpass on Road Rage gives that map such awesomeness. Buggies speeding up the ramps, jets flying overhead, trying to hide from the littlebirds, picking at the bigrigs, tanks, and AA vehicles driving below, praying to Christ that the enemy commander doesn't arty the snot out of you while you're up there. Just a beautifully designed map and I'll be so thrilled to be able to play it again!
The only problem with Road Rage is that small suburb that sits out in the side of the map, should have put a flag cap out there or something, it never sees any action.
I just hope the patch is solid and there aren't any 'surprise' bugs that cause the servers to crash with everyone and their dog trying to play again.
My experiences with Road Rage are all bad, mostly due to the fact with less than 20 players, the jet comlpetely dominates. It was designed IMO for 40-64 players, so I will finally be able to play it without raging ;d
I am mad as hell that the booster packs are free, sure I'd be happy if I didn't already have them. But I speant money on all of them and now anybody can get them. And I wish theyd fix load times. Ok update, but really? I sound like a whiny 14 year old, but I just don't think the wait was worth it. I wish it added more behind the scenes support for the decent mods out there.
You should be happy your previously useless and valueless booster packs will be played now.

EDIT2. If it took them 1 year and 3 BETAs to develop the BF2 patch, I feel sorry for the BF2142 folks. Err...there is not mention of the no CD thing. and with 1.41 and 1.5 well over 2GB why not just release a full installer since the normal DVD installer doesn't work right in Vista anyways and the game shouldn't need a DVD anymore. On clean installer that I can keep on my external with the my CD keys (pleural).
I agree, it would be great if they just released a BF2 installed with 1.5 integrated already, since this, probably is the last patch. Also ***** would be great if it's not already in, I hate having to have a CD to play the game and constantly creating fake image files and mounting them in daemon tools just to run BF without a CD.
I hope they do the ***** for 2142 aswell, as it's particularly annoying and for all future BF games, ***** works great for Call of Duty. It won't stop pirates but it annoys those that bought the game.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!! BLACKHAWK M135 DAMAGE INCREASED!!! YES YES YES!!!! I've been waiting for this moment for 2 YEARS!!!!
Oh and I don't need the F35B thing, I rape J10 nab pubs. I won't have the same prestige of working hard on something hard to win with, and triumphing, *sad*
Yes, Blackhawk damage is great and I too am sad to see J-10 nerfed, I took a special pride and interest in beating J-10s, it was so challenging it was great, going strato and outrunning their missles, it was a completely different strategy and now it's gone :dead: thanks to ****ty pilots moaning and bitching about it. :shakehead:
Plus on J-10 maps F35 was always available cause the noobs would be shot down easily and if you were a good pilot you could stay up all game, you just had to know how to fly properly against J-10s.
Thanks for adding the exp packs to the patch now i can finally play the awesome armoured fury maps with many people daily :-) Awesome. Thanks DICE and EA!
My favorite map is operation Harvest. I love tearing it up in that wooded campsite in the middle of the map with my G3. I cant count my kill streaks in that little area. There are plenty of places to hide and if you are there long enough everyone starts hunting you down in the grass and trees and you have to play stealthy. Such a blast. I also love Great Wall with the Euro guns. Adds a lot of diversity and Famas is fun to use.
