Love how gamespot skips all the information for the gameplay footage.

this game must be for under 18 because its so noobified ,its rather a poor joke on the battlefield name why didnt they name it something else?.

Or is this the evotution we expect for bf3 nowRip the BF franchise if they want to c4 TK it.

I mean no dis-respect but this is my view:salute:

Dice seems to have the idea that we want exactly the oposite of what we say we do.

we say Battlefield 3 please, they give us:

        1. Hero's. WTF. Should be named Battlefield: Kindergarten.
        2. 1943, been there done that console port.
        3. Bc2.

Who says BF3 proper isn't secretly in the works?

BF: Heroes has been a great bit of fun for what it is. It's more of a casual BF title, which is great because BF2 and 2142 are certainly still around.

1943, while "simplified" still seems like it'll retain the old BF formula. Every preview has been upset at how things have been made more simple but say it's still a great deal of fun to play.

Bad Company 2 is a beast in its own right. They could really just call it "Bad Company 2" without the BF prefix, but the Battlefield name sells.

Its Dice's one and a half years of teasing that has me somewhat angered, they need to either flat out say either yes were making it or no were not, why is that so hard for them to do.

I initially thought with the announcement of patch 1.5 that they might include a Trailer for BF3, my idea still stands however with the most recent delay i am doubting it.

I'm cautiously interested in both 1943 and BC2, i have a good amount of suspicion that both will be console ports to the pc.

Exactly. If they announced Battlefield 3 proper as a dumbed-down console game, I'd be leading the Great Stockholm Gamer Riots of '09 with all of you. But these games aren't Battlefield 3, they're DICE expanding their horizons and trying to pick up more casual players under the established Battlefield franchise.

You guys need to understand that DICE is a large game studio with all of EA's resources at their disposal as well. They've even confirmed that they're developing something else for us that hasn't been announced yet. Hell, a blog post by a DICE employee was deleted because it revealed that something else, something very exciting, was in the works for Battlefield fans. Calm down and stop complaining every time you see a news post about a game that you weren't expecting. Leave these threads to the people who enjoy these games for what they are.

Dice also said that this is for ppl who dont know about Battlefield and its for the live arcade. We havent played so we dont know if its good or bad. IT seems that its getting better, i'll try it out, might be better than we think. They also said 1943 is a homenege of 1942 not a sequel.

I posted this in the wrong part of this forum so am going to post it here now, just so you know am not spamming.

I have been soooooooo anti 1943 snice the first day we all heard about it, but i have to say, that video looks pretty damn good.

I think when you stop thinking about it as a real installment to 1942 and start thinking that its a download only type of a game then its not half bad, althou the download part of it is putting me off as i just like my games to be on DVD, call me old skool if you like.

I don't think its ever going to live up to the EPIC-NESS of BF2, but then its not meant to, its a completly different style of game, also am liking the trenches, if only wake 2007 had trenches it would have saved my '' butt '' lots of times.

It looks good but I'm worried that its simplicity and lack of maps will only make us wish they had rebuilt 1942 and given us a full game.

I think EA has only made this game to help get them out of the '' money pit '' they are in at the min, so when things get better money wise, then because its all downloadable content, it would be very easy to add a few more maps if the game is a hit and has plenty people playing.

it's a shame that all the work is not being put into a full blown BF game. sorta waste if you ask me, i think they could have taken this and done a little more and could've come out with a full blown ww2 pacific battlefield game featuring more maps and classes and expanse maps supporting more players. if they're gonna go this far, might as well ya know?

I was against the idea of reganerating health in this game, but when you think its only 12 VS 12, so you can't really afford to have 5 or 6 of your men dead, beacuse that's half your team.

Well, there are scopes and probably some ironsights. It's not like FFOW where it just zooms in a little.
