In a Western consumerist market such as the one we (or I) live in, its perfectly natural that certain forms of media will come under scrutiny for the sake of unsubstantiated anxiety over movies or television programs that aren't "family friendly." However, the whole reason why many of the most popular video games are even popular is because of freedom, freedom from censorship, etc.
Artistic expression in the form of a video games (GTA series) is partialy reliant on that fact. It offers to people what they can't get any where else.

And with internet forums, its completely different. Uncensored video games can be seen as artistic or avant-garde. Uncensored internet forums is seen as immaturity.

gorrr, its 3-d artwork of cocks at the worst. no one is saying that people have to look through and find them.
its just a bit of fun that has once again received an over reaction. the people that complain about this sort of thing are the same sad bastards who waste their time to ring up and complain about mistakes they see on TV. go do something productive ffs:dead:

Most kids know very well where to find porn on the internet... This isn't much worse.

And this isn't even porn, it's 3D pictures of body parts they'll see sooner or later anyway :awes

    Too...****ing...funny.:awes

On a serious notes, its comical that EA can't see that video games are the exact sort of entertainment medium thats suppose to push the boundaries. The very purpose of video games is to be uncensored. This is just a couple of people uncomfortable with human body parts suffering from paranoia over a non-issue.

Maybe they should make a spornography filter similar to the one Google uses to filter its pages. *snigger*

EA will try to censor it because like the sims they are trying to make this a very mainstream game and market it to a wide demographic

    I love the "art form"

PORN IS ART, DAMNIT. Along with drug use, cussing, alcohol, peeing in the snow, and graffiti.

However, I dont believe in the censorship. When you give people this much creativity, they do stuff like this. I remember playing SOF2 and this one servers skins were guys in their skins. CS:S has its sprays.

I knew something like this would be possible, so Ive chosen to stay clear of the game. If others want penis creatures, thats up to them.

    Crunch

Every game says that "online interactions are not rated by the ESRB" so why is EA trying to police people and censor them? Sure it's immature if that's all people make, but where is the line drawn on what is acceptable and what isn't.

Is it ever possible to give a game an 18 rating because of what you can create using the tools inside?
