We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Nothing you can't do after 1.4... you just have to adept on not using the crouch key to stand up and everything is fine. It's the worst "fix" I've ever seen.

-Make ribbons clickable in BFHQ

YES! Very important! Must be already "on the list".
well I admit it I was nervous as hell downloading this puppy, what with all the problems before and reading all the rants in here, but after 2 hours of gameplay on 2 or 3 different servers and it is noticably alot smoother, no CTDs at all, loads and exits quicker and the new map wether IO or vanilla is a great laugh. I did have to get used to the old prone malarky, but overall thumbs up, heres hoping it stays that way.
just wish I could get my bleedin bf2142 beta to work now
Well I played 1.4 for abt 2-3 hours and my impressions are:
1. I liked the map
2. I crashed to desktop 1 time and “got problems with connection ” 2 times
3. Infantry only option!!! I really like it! At last we can play with out armor-I think it is quite an challenging on both small and big maps.
4. I do not know but it seems that now we can run faster and for longer distance.
The more I read these forums, the more I think its not EA/DICE but yet the BF2 community.
We want patch 1.3 right now, we want this fixed NOW. so they try and get it out to use quick what happens? Bugs/CTD's

Whas your game free? mine wasnt.... how bout upgrades to hardware? You do any of those? I did.... those werent free either.... how long has this game been out? Still not fixed and their preselling its bastard child already..... patching QUICK? theyve been patching for a year !!!!! Want infantry only? PLAY SOMETHING ELSE.
In one sense I'm happy to see that some folks here are satisfied with 1.4. I had hoped to be myself, and have been patient waiting over A YEAR for basic issues to be resolved. But really, obviously there are still outstanding issues -- and not just with connectivity, but actual gameplay. I believe at this point that so many of us have low expectations of EA/Dice that we have forgotten how much there is still to be finished up with this game; we know it just ain't (and wasn't ever) going to get fixed. In some ways I hate myself for getting into a game created by such careless programmers. It's a wonder they were able to create the base game. One thing is for sure, this will not happen with Bf2142. The box stays on the shelf this year.
You've all payed 50$ for this game, which is about... what, 2 nights out? A nice Dinner? A couple of movies at the theater? Now think how much entertainment value you got for your money. Don't use the "I payed 50$ for this!" arguement. It's meaningless. Clearly you've played this game for more than 200 hours. Possibly even 400. What are you copmplaining about?
