Either way , it will be worth the wait to play this bad boy .


They would not put an update up like that to get everyone excited just to show off player models . It would piss people off and be percieved as them screwing w/ people even though they never said it was being released . Just my 2 cents .



I myself could care less when it releases . I just cant wait for this mod to come out because I know the team put a lot of time into it and it wont have all the BF2 bug issues . When they are done with it , we will get it .

BTW - One question . When flying in the planes did you guys get good sound quality in the planes for the dogfighters ? Also do the aircraft scream when diving ? Not a big deal , just would be that much better and am curious .

Have you tried FH for BF1942? The sound (IMHO) is awesome and, yes, they scream when diving (Stukas are the coolest)

meh, bf2142 will be out by the time FH is out for bf2 *sigh*

we ALL know 90% of mods end up failing because their releases are overshadowed by the release of the newer game. Then the flood of "xxxx is moving to the new engine etc news posts".

There were very few sucessful "played" mods for bf42. Adding a 100 models etc is nothing when all that work goes down the drain cause no one plays it.

"Release fast, release often".

For the sake of FH i hope its a release. They seem to have put in a large amount of work and deserve to see ALOT of people playing their mod. Hopefully they don't wait too long and miss the boat so to speak!

There were very few sucessful "played" mods for bf42. Adding a 100 models etc is nothing when all that work goes down the drain cause no one plays it.

Desert Combat (DC Extended as well), Forgotten Hope, Eve of Destruction, and Galactic Conquest all had full servers 24/7 (I know because I played them all).

Change had for have with DC and FH, and what a pain this doesn't happen with EoD, GC and other fantastic BF42 mods, because they still rock

umm people are still playing mods from BF42, and the game is over 4 years old, thats how great they were.

and who cares about 2142's release, its a new game being released, games get released all the time, but they dont take away fans of the original

just because you get 2142 doesnt mean you arent able to play BF2 anymore I still play BF42(and all its mods) and BFV along with playing BF2, just because I bought a new game doesnt mean I threw the older ones in the trash.....

I think thats its been proven by DICE that, that is the worst thing to do
