I am not interested in the polemic with heightmap.

But why don't you try to do an easy rehaul of those old maps?, Desert Combat used the BF42 maps for a reason, it was easier to create the mod porting the originals with DC vehicles and soldiers, but later they added the real maps a modern mod must make, like the fantastic Basrah maps, etc.

I understand the nostalgia factor in this mod, but at least use the fantastic modern statics of BF2, no?, I don't see the point of still use the WW2 bunkers and that jazz, honestly.

there will be custom maps, plus custom statics that have nothing to do with DC, but I think the devs ae just trying to recreate the feel of DC for there first release. El Alemain is an awsome map, and many players favorite, Including mine, there have been many mnay posts in there forums about what maps should be included in Dcon and E Al is always at the top

What you all lack in skill you make up for in unwarranted criticism,cynicism, and sarcasm and accusations of which all are baseless. Like I said.. those that lack the skill complain.. Those that dont.. do it and listen to the likes of the rest of you all that banter on.. Its ok though to hate that which you fear.. Its a natural response. I suppose we took everything of DC's and just ported it.. LOL!! Please.. you all never cease to amaze me with your banterings. Flame away fellas. It is an open forum for that is it not? Seems like its always the same old same old here.. Ahh... Whats the saying.. negative attention is better than none at all.. Controversy just spreads us farther and farther. OMG... you silly people that think we port everything... what smaktards. ya, we ported everything you see... gaytarded. it must be so nice to be intelligent enough to make that disertion from a freakin screen shot of an unfinished map... in fact, for the last year, all we've done is steal other people's work... steal other people's textures... steal other people's python code... and all the rest... we're just so dumb that it took us a whole year to figure out how to steal it... go die biatches. :)

wow, no mod team should talk to the people who will decide how popular the mod is, some devs just ruin the mod for some, you dcon devs need to take it. remember, the customer is always right, basic 3rd grade knowlage.

the DEVS take alot of flak in all there updates from all types of trolls, they have held there tongue in long enough, and they deserve some free speech

Doctor Venture deservers no respect, the Devs can speak to him however they please because he is nothing but a troll

He has a Dcon sig(wich he stole from a Dcon Dev) yet if you look the majority of his posts he is flaming the Dcon mod igniting flames, and accusing the devs of porting from other mods/games

the Dcon devs put up with this sh*t in every single update on this forum from all types of people, from different mod teams to just forum troll and they have deserverd the right to talk however they want.

unfortunately Snipers0.. the enemy never plays by the rules.. Sometimes the other side has to go out on a limb ever now and then and risk their necks. What you have just read is one of those times. Believe me it gives us no great pleasure in doing so. The old addage of the customer is always right is a myth. You will alway undoubtedly as owner of any business have it out with a customer. Thats a given. It just happens.. there is no avoiding it. The majority of the customers are right.. But its the same ones that are just blatantly ignorant all time.. those are the ones that arent right.. in more ways then one.. But as I said... Fear does alot to people. Read the sig. Trolls are always an issue and always will be.. Oh dear god.. they are ruining my beloved DC.. yada yada yada.. so on and so forth.. Its a game.. not a way of life.. or a religion. Fanatics will be found no matter where you go. Its the idiots who take things to the extreme end of the spectrum. Speaking of them.. I think a few villages are short some.. Gentleman its been a pleasure showing you all the teams hard work.. Its a shame that some of you can't recognize skill and a labor of love for all of us at Desert Conflict. Not everyone is keen to our ideas or our work.. Its a shame but.. those are the ones we'd just rather not see playing our product. Flame it all you want. We're still here and still at it.. DESPITE all of the trolls and naysayers. But please continue the trolling and the hating and spreading of your filthy and unfounded lies. It just adds to the news and helps us spread to other people. Controversy can always be turned into a good thing. We'd like to thank those that cause it.. You're our biggest source of PR as I said in a earlier post. If you dont like us.. Dont download us and play it. But forums are a place for people to have their opinions written and read.. So it goes for a DEV.. We're people just like the rest of you. So we are able to indulge in the same. Enjoy the updates.. More to come..
