i know for a fact that if a company gets what tehy are looking for in 1 area .. .why would they leave it to go to another .... lets show them that the community can do this....

all they need. .. is for you to play on the server.

As 1 of the GSP's supplying the equipment i can tell you for certain they are looking at TONS of data on a daily basis ..... from us alone... nevermind what the other gps's are sending them ....

but in that data = empty servers ......... we need YOU in there testing them and making them crash so they can see whats broken and fix it :salute:
I understand where you are commng from, and if it was BETA1 still than i would have no problem and fully agree with you.

The thing is, they need to give us an incentive, they promised that they will increase the number of servers, yet to me, its still the same number. Second, in BETA2, there weren't many changes made, only just the gameplay of IO and map fixes.

All i want from EA is a couple of things to fix. And it does not concern game play just ACTUAL bugs.

    1. Fix the HIT indicators in all JETS. The only working HIT indicator is in the SU-34, the rest do not work.

    2. Fix the Collision mesh of the F-35. Its a flying coffin as it is, simply (and let me illustrate) because of this.

Fix it so it could look like more this.

    3. Fix the Hit detection in general. If they do this, then i believe the missles going through vehicles, TV's going through objects, will iron out.

    4. (Optional) Hide the weapon when the player goes from Standing/Crouch to prone.

    5. Replace the USS ESSEX missles from AIM9X(sp?) (Sidewinder) that you find on the F-35, F18, and F15 to the GROUND base missles aka Stingers. The reason they miss so much is becuase they are actually the same missles as the planes, not the ground/mobile AA.

    6. Fix the invert mouse bug. Where i have my mouse inverted in all vehicles in game, yet when i use the TV missile its not.

All this does not require a lot of code, well maybe the hit detection bug does.

If these gets implemented, then i'll be happy with what EA is doing.

why do you want more players? Did you see all the post and polls about what the community really wants? The Dice guy that post in total bf2 say NO to all of them. Even he admit they are good idea he say is too late. So they already make up theirs mind about what is coming in 1.4, is useless to test it. Just take a look at the Dice feedback part of the forum. Things like more points per repair, teampoints for killing armor with AT kit and the beefing up of he black hawk was all denied by DICE. Even they are multiples polls in this and other forum that the huge majority of the community want. Its no use to test it. They already make up their minds.

Thank you! Especially the clans pay 100$ and more for every-day-crashing-ranked-servers. So we pay enough money - and spend time - for beta-testing!

EA should read the list above: there are enough bugs to fix, or?

Well looki looki here, you know what DICE and EA F@ck you. Look at all the bugs other players have reported, and what have you done about it. Game balance issues are still there so no, take your beta and shove it where the sun dont shine. Quit trying to add **** to the game and fix it for once in your sorry career as game developers.

I downloaded both beta patches, the READ ME FIRST.doc was in beta 1 but not beta 2 zip file.

    Beta Disclaimer
    Greetings!
By taking part in this BETA you are accepting the risks related to the use of non-final code. EA & DICE are not responsible for any harm caused by the use of these files. EA will not provide customer support for any issues related to the use of any BETA related files. Any issues experienced during the use of these files should be reported to the EA Battlefield2 forums.

    Helpful Tips:

Installation steps to protect your original BF2 install:
    Beta Installation

    1. Go to “C:\Program Files\EA GAMES”
    2. Right click the “Battlefield 2” folder and choose “Copy”
    3. Right click anywhere away from this folder and choose “Paste”
    4. Once the copy has completed, you will have two folders named “Battlefield 2” and “Copy of Battlefield 2”
    5. Install the patch 1.4 beta, then start the game as normal

When you wish to switch back to the release version of BF2, use the following steps:

    1. Go to “C:\Program Files\EA GAMES”
    2. Right click the “Battlefield 2” folder and choose “Rename”
    3. Rename the folder to something like “Battlefield 2 Beta”
    4. Right click the “Copy of Battlefield 2” folder
    5. Rename the folder the “Battlefield 2”
    6. Start the game as normal.

The shortcut will run BF2.exe from whichever folder is named “Battlefield 2” and both installations share the same registry entries.

Using the above steps will negate the need to completely uninstall and re-install whenever you wish to switch from the retail version to the beta version and vice versa.

Feedback & Bug Reporting: There will be threads hosted on the EA forums in which you can provide your feedback on the 1.4 patch. Please direct all feedback to these lists and not to customer service. Customer Service will not provide support for any Patch Beta issues. We are eager to receive your feedback on this patch beta! Post feedback -> HERE

Communicate in game: When playing in one of the BETA servers make sure to communicate any issues you see to others in the server. This will allow you to quickly discover if the issues you experience are unique to you or not.

Screenshots: It is extremely helpful to our development teams to be able to have a visual reference for any issues or feedback you provide. Whenever possible please provide a screenshot with your bug reports or feedback.

Crash Logs: If you experience a crash please check your dmp file located at: C:\Documents and Settings\<xxx>\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Dmp. Report your crash in the Official EA Forums and be prepared to provide the dump file if requested.

DX Diag report: For any technical issue experienced we may need you to provide your system spec and driver information. All of this can be gathered by selecting the ‘run’ option in the start menu and entering “dxdiag” then pressing Enter.

at the moment there are about as many players playing 1.4beta as there are most mods. To fix it EA needed/needs to have 20ish offical servers(around the world) playing beta 1.4 that have there stats count otherwise ur avarage joe player wont even bother.

The original unpatched BF2 was near perfect, now they've ****ed it up so much it's a completely different game. I won't be buying 2142, or any DICE developed game for that matter.

Its true, I think that we all need to get more involved. I think they are finally giving us a chance to speak our minds and they will listen to us.

I admit that I haven't messed with it yet. I have it downloaded, but when I went to dupe my bf2 folder, it told me that I have about 52 minutes remaining...eh...I didn't have time to wait that long.

I think I will give it a shot this weekend.

Played beta 2, bugs found, bugs reported.

They took down the official bug reporting sticky threads on the UK forums, they need to either put out a “Release Candidate” patch to stress test or push out the 1.4 patch as final (hopefully with the bugs reported in beta 2 fixed), even if it’s not perfect if all it did were fix the server crashing issues it would be a relief to a lot of players.

Either way, an official update as to the status of the 1.4 patch would be welcome.
