I have 200 members in an internal tournament at 21cwaaf.

I have asked/pleaded for a test server to be raised here in Australia so that we can help. {Colin - Crrrazzy asked about us}
Trying to join and beta test on a server with 250 ping is a bit much. And when I have gotten in, how can I beta test when you are surrounded by morons spawn camping or just stuffing around.

*Beta testing needs a controlled enviroment to be done effectively.

*Test each item, Logging what time, map and players tested.
*Find a bug, Strees test the item for more information, gaining as much information as possible.
*Report the above at regular intervals.

Please Dice/EA, allow us too help you.

I have even offered to host a non-ranked test server on our own windows box to be included but still No Aussie test server.

I would test it, but it appears to be alittle more then simply installing it, hassle free when going to play 1.3.

Sorry, just seems like too much to do. I want to install. and play. Not make 2 directories, have 16 gig in info for one game........and all the other stuff.

Someone already posted something like this......but couldnt it have been made simplier as far as install and what not?

It would seem to me....that the core or the majority of players who's critique would be valued, are being skipped over. Because I feel the majority of noobs, as this community would call them........simply isnt going to test anything that might screw their game up, worse then it already is. And yes, i realize there is a read me.........but seriously....who read them? Really. I know you should.......but who does really? Certainly not the majority.

I'd love to test this beta, cept there isn't any Aussie servers up yet, so so it's either play with a massive ping, or don't play at all.

Though on the plus side, our mod seems to work fine with 1.4...couldn't say the same about the past patches, so that's good to know. :)

EA dont need more testers , they need an Exculsive version for Competition players.. competition players vs. pub nubs both sides want totally different games.. and no matter what EA will listen to the bigger majority , which is pub nubs.. Competition will be Killed out of BF2 once and for all in 1.4 release.. (unless mods come out , like BF2PRO)

And what exactly makes you comp players better than us pubbers?? I spent 5 years in the same clan, ran a BF2 ladder and tournament, played in over 100 comp matches in BF2 and over 2000 in other games. Yet when I play BF2 or any other game I always play the same way, to win. So what is it exactly that makes you so great because you play competition?? Really I wanna see your logic, cause I hear this total load of crap all the time.

Im a good player because I am a good player, it has absolutly **** to do with my being in a clan or because I am competitive. If you think your better because you play competition then your a fool, 80% of the players in BF2 play competitively every time they join a server. Its always competitive.....unless your one of the 20% who really (and I mean no offense you know who you are) just suck, then its just for fun.

An "exclusive version", jesus I thought I had seen it all till I saw that arrogant bull.

People in the BF2 community whine about stuff and wish that they can do something to make a change, and now have a chance to...

I think being pissed off about game crashes is more that justified. Wouldn't you say?

Competition altough intense is the most dolphin diving, bunny hopping completely unrealistic type of play. Anything goes, might as well be UT2004!

IO and the new map road to jalalabab where paid by a sponsor. This is why we have to wait for the hotfix for 1.3, because no new big change have been done. All the other bugs DIce says it take too much coding, and the bugs fixed where introduce in 1.3. Car droping was something no one ask for and IO too.

Maybe if we get an sponsor to pay EA/Dice they can make another patch that really change what the community wants.

gimme an incentive to beta test a game I've shelled out $100 for over the past year, which lacks basic necessities like a functional browser and widescreen support.

Exactly. People can complain about people being too lazy but what does that help? they're still not going to help out cause you ***** at them.

Although I am currently downloading beta 2, there are a few reasons that are bothering me with this beta.

1: install is far too fiddly. Should make it a mod as above.

2: Lack of full changelogs. How exactly are we to test changes if we don't know what they are?

3: Taking far too long. From what I can gather, there's to be at least one more beta patch to go through testing. Given the sorry state 1.3... The ranked version is in, time isn't exactly a luxury they really have.

Not saying they should rush the testing but at the very least, they should release the fixes to the more gamestopping bugs that plague 1.3 =/

Why should we test BETA 2 when they won't even fix the stuff we request ?What is the point ? I have come to believe BF2 has been a giant beta for BF 2142 that we had to pay for, because they shure as hell are not supporting what this community wants , just fix the current BUGS & quit F***ING around with exta content.
1) FIX THE CTD'S
2) FIX THE GOD DAMN TVM GOING THROUGH TARGETS
3) FIX THE XFI MISSING SOUNDS ,LIKE NOT HEARING 50CAL. HIT U IN HELI, I GO OUT AND SPEND $150 JUST FOR YOU ONLY TO F*** IT UP WITH 1.3 & NOT EVEN CARE ????
4) PLEASE FIX THE UNBALANCE OF J-10, F-35 B IS SUPOSED TO BE THE MOST ADVANCED FIGHTER IN THE WORLD !!!!!!!!!
5) I'AM SICK OF TYPING BECAUSE THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO FIX, JUST READ THE GOD DAMN FORUMS.
These are my top 4 issues , so until you can adress these F*** YOU & your god damn beta test !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
