Does it occur to you that some people in the world have different opinions, thoughts and feelings about things? And that you are not always right? I like the L85 because i like the scope and single shot mode. Not because i 'spray and pray'.

g36 is the way to go, quick three burst, accurate,while the l85 is nice with the scope, somewhat tempermental depending on the server your on, alot deviation since the first burst also.

i've always loved the L85 because of the zoom and the better dev shot

but my recent acquirement of G36 makes me think it's a better killer
it just feels to pack more punch, and surprisely accurate

:p Fair point, but although it doesnt make the gun more accurate, it sure as hell makes me better at shooting that guy over there with a PKM in the face before he goes prone and wastes me.

I used the L85 for quite a while(until I got my G3), and I loved it. It was reasonably powerful, extremely accurate, and had a nice scope. I'm not quite as good with it as I was, but it's still a lot of fun. Plus, I like the shade of green it is.

m16/ak unlocks are gay

M16 is dangerous too, today i went into a server and was pvt :/

So i was using the M16 and i was taking out people with two bursts of it

I still prefer the AKs myself. The G36 iron sight is kind of weird, in that unlike most guns the impact point is slightly below the top of the post, instead of right on it. Full-auto makes them better close-range, high shot power is nice long-range.

The L85 is more useful to me than the G36E mid and long range just because the scope makes for very easy shot placement, but its full auto performance is just terrible. Sprays everywhere.

The secert to the L85A1 & any weapon in BF2 is to fire in bursts not just to empty the whole clip into an enemy.

BTW in my oppinion out of all the weapons the medic can have at his disposal the Ak's are the ultimate spray and pray weapon there Brilliant at CQB but terrible at range.

They are different weapons which have their benefits in different situations.

I don't care what people think about the "accuracy" the the L85, but at long distances, it is great for sniping because it has the zooming scope which makes it easier to aim. It is fully auto, so REAL close combat, it owns the G36.

So, on big non-infantry maps I find the L85 to be the best because I can snipe people at distance.

If I am doing a "spec ops" type of run, where I might end up in a long distance or CQC, I will use the G36 (such as when I am US I am going to take the suburbs in Karkand right off the bat).

However, the stock medic weapons are great for close combat fighting.

It is all about what position you are putting yourself into most often which should determine which one to unlock.

All that being said, I do use the G36 the most often as I find it the most versatile, however, I have been using the stock guns more and more. AKs kick ass.

I have to completely and totaly disagree with you there i masterd the L85A1 before the patch. And i considerd it to be one of the best weapons ingame on par with the G36C pre 1.2 patch (my opinion of course). Now post patch its a much better weapon up to medium range without a scope and standing still the first 3 rounds hit in a very nice and compact grouping only after the 3 round do bullets start to fly all over the place. 100 % agree, before the patch, it sucked. Barely usuable, however now it's fantastic, I just right click and kill and it's full auto is the winner for me. Only problem is that it's terrible if your not scoped, single shots are also great for medium range, the G36 is good for single shot stuff too but I just hate the burst action, I can't stand 3 shot burst esp up against other guns, it will suck up close. Anyway, L85 for me.

The funny thing, Immyrey, is that the L85 is a HORRIBLE spray and pray weapon. Intensive, as usual, has no idea what he is talking about.

I've been using the L85 a lot lately. I like it better than the M16 (though that gun works quite well, too). Single shot is great for suppressing snipers at mid-range, or taking out support troops before they can get prone and shred you to pieces. Full-auto is useful up close as long as you fire in short bursts. As has been said above, if you hold down the trigger spray-n-pray style, you're almost certain to die. I've panicked and emptied a clip into someone about five paces away, and I'm not sure if I hit them even once.

L85 for me but then I'm used to the rifle and it has always done well for me. Full auto does come in handy when you're faced with more than one enemy in close quarters. It's not really spray and prey if you know what your doing.
