Both guns take 4 shots to kill unarmored, 5 shots to kill armored unless you are shooting them in the head....

      Yes. So, one-shot kill.

If the L85 is the unlocked weapon, the it the L85. I picked up a medic kit(being revived with it )and relized I was not a spec op no more, wanted someone to kill me, but I kept killing enemies one by one with out even aiming. It's nice to know which enemy is low health, it gives confiendence when facing off against them  .

i just started using the medic kit again and using the l85. it takes some gettng used to but for some reason i cant stand the usa 3 round burst weapons. so its either the l85 or the mec and china stock ones

Have played with G36 a lil bit, stealing it from bodies, and it's definately a lot better.
you have to aim slightly above the tip of the reticule. hard to explain.

Well 9/10 I can kill a guy 100m or more away, within the first 2-3 shots (one will be a headshot)

The l85 for me at the moment, i just dont like the G36 burst fire, if your 1 on 1 you normally end up dead but at least with the L85 you get a fighting chance! also scope is top notch for sniping.

i used to be a huge fan of the g36e. but since about a month ago, i tried the l85 again after not using it every since special forces came out. i honestly love the gun now. it's proven much more effective all around than my g36e. can snipe people with it, and at close range, as long as you don't hold the trigger for more than a second, it's great for CQB (which i keep forgeting half the time )

I call it the "Magic Gun"

...how can you see the enemies health? you're only supposed to be able to see your teammate's health...

Re: Medic weapon: G36 vs L85

I can't really tell between the two guns... I guess when I'm dying too much with one gun, I switch to the other. They both work fine for me.

The L85A1 kills unarmored targets in 3 hits and armored in 5 hits.
The G36E kills unarmored in 4 hits and armored in 5 hits.

So obviously the L85 kills unarmored targets much faster. However, the G36E's burst fire mode is much more accurate at medium ranges than teh L85's full auto. Only two bursts are needed to kill an armored target, and burst-shots fire at 900RPM instead of full auto shots at 600RPM. So it really depends on range and whether the opposing team has mainly medics and spec ops or support and assaults.

                  The L85A1 PWNS snipers, though

If you spot them or if they are spotted for you, you can see their health meter just like you can with friendlies on the overhead map. I use this as well. You can also see enemy ammo levels while playing support the same way.

G36C is the new PKM, its super accurate and the three burst fire is a sure kill

I took out a squad with a single clip the other day

It takes 4 individual bullets. This means if you shoot 2 3-round bursts, they will go down if you hit with 4/6 of them. If you make a habit to just do two bursts per target, it will become automatic. Then, if you did miss, you can always do another burst or go on to your next target if they did go down.

Wish that I would have found this post before I unlocked the L85. Probably would have made my decision a lot easier. I have used the L85 though and it seems like an okay weapon to me.
