Re: BattleField 2142 is a stolen idea.
Drugs are bad for you. Cool it with the LSD.
Except for a little game called JEDI KNIGHT(1)! Which itself was actually titled Dark Forces 2.
It's the engine that sparked off the full 3D shooter craze that led to the development of Unreal, HalfLife, and basicly all the other shooters we love today. True, the storyline sucked, but that's what happens when the lead programer is in charge.
HL's story, on the otherhand, is very much Lovecraftian (which is a genre all to itself, and thus unoriginal by it's definition).
Did you play Tribes? Not only did it allowed you to play however you liked (repair stuff, fly stuff, man turrets, or just go shoot the crap outta the badguys) it also hade no boarders at all. You could head off in any direction and you'd never find the edge of the world. A feat that's yet to be replicated in any game.
There's a differance between "thinking outside the box" and just presenting yourself as an idiot.
Ya need some education in the subject. I've provided you with a good start. No go out 'n learn something if you want to be taken seriously.

BF1942, is something where there are no limits. You can do "anything" in the game. Thats why it was also original. The WWII games after that did follow, but where are the open, vehicle filled maps?
No thanks, i dont need a dictionary, why not YOU "think outside the box"
