We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.

Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I have used G3 off and on. I used it to get my expert assault specialist on
Devil's Perch. For maps like Sharqi 64 though the mag count cripples it.
The patch really nerfed assault to a point where I'd rather be medic with
an AK-101 than assault.
Instead of the G3 just use the sadly overpowered PKM - it has more ammo, more damage and better accuracy. I see no reason to use the G3 other than for style points.
back in the days when bf2 was brandnew, and everyone wanted the sniper unlocks, i chose the G3
id sit in the building across from the flag at construction site in sharqi
between the I beam and the wall, and pick people off coming up the stairs
i loved it
now, even post 1.21 i still love my G3, i use it quite often
even if it is slightly less accurate than some of the carbines it is still very accurate
and its THE most powerful assult rifle in the game, the only thing stronger is the PKM and the sniper rifles
anyone else love the G3 sounds too? it sure is a loud mofo isnt it?
I just unlocked the G3 this weekend, and I love it! It's incredibly powerful, and very accurate. When I used to play assualt with the default guns I only got around 20 points on a 64-player map, and was safely in the middle of the pack, but now im usually in the top 5 with 30+ points. I also love that it has real grenades instead of the launcher, cause I suck horribly with grenade launchers.
Well if you dont like it fine, but I know I can own with it so I know its a good gun you just have to get use to it, I can own with the PKM but its not really the same so you cn stick to your exploit gun but Ill stick with my G3.
unlocked it this weekend and i love it. not too fond of the sight though, it obscures your vision which leaves you holding the gun down to get a good view of whats ahead(when zoomed in).
i like its long range capabilities. one shot mode, prone behind cover.. it kicks ass. when going into more urban style combat i always reload though, risky goin in with 12 bullets on full auto..
EA should increase the damage and splash radius of the GL to make assault more appealing. In some situations, like defending a base, GL can be useful, however it's too cumbersome having to switch all the time between launcher and bullets.
G3 never made any sense to me. Assault class without the grenade launcher? I guess if you like to spam hand grenades and like running out of ammo and don't want to use a crappy support weapon, then sure, get a g3---talking pre-pkm-fix.
Now with a pkm that actually delivers lmg damage and accuracy, the assault class is dead except for the diehard toobers.
The only real thing the assault class has left is a 1-hit quick kill on light vehicles with the grenade launcher. Pick the G3 and you don't even get that.
For me the G3 is an intermediate to long range weapon. Its clip is too small to compete with the AKs and G36c in Close Quarters Combat. I use it in situations like defending the island side of Karkand across the bridge or in the wharehouse. It is also good for cleaning up enemy support when they get out of hand. You have a better chance of getting the guy with the PKM before he gets you in a faceoff.
