I actually unlocked the G36 first then the G3. I used to love the G36 until i tried the G3. Now G3 is all i use. It is so powerful i can shoot less rounds for the same power as the G36.

I too use it alot especially on Karkand. I think the main reason people don't use it is because of it's limited 20 round capacity and since it has a full auto function people tend to spray and pray with it in close quarters combat quickly running out. The second reason is because it doesn't have a 203 or GP-30, but I find grenades to be far more useful especially getting enemies hiding behind cover. Since it is the most powerful assault rifle in the game with 7.62 x 51 mm NATO shells, it's definitely a weapon of choice.

Nope, I know no such thing... and I pack a PKM quite a lot.

The number of hit's it takes to drop someone is the same for the PKM and the G3. The G3's fast rate of fire means that all things being equal, it will own PKMers in close quarters.

For some reason, I find I'm pulling off a rediculously high number of headshots with the G3. I had a great moment the other night (which I got on BR!) of me taking down 4 people in a row in close quarters on a single clip. The last guy I nailed was with the very last round in the clip!

The smoke 'nades are also hella handy, but sorely underused.

I am good with the pkm and okay with the g3 I dont think i could use it anymore because when i do i die by someone far away or run out of ammo and i just think... Damn if i had the pkm...

I loved the G3 pre 1.2, but now the PKM and, believe it or not, the Dragunov are better choices for me on Karkand. PKM for obvious reasons, and the Dragunov for, well, great ROF and CLAYMORES!. :)

Make the first medic gun your first unlock. It will come in much more useful if your wanting to gain points fast.

I killed 5 players in a row with a single M95 clip on surge. I usually play sniper on all the SF maps

it was my first unlock too. I still use it alot think its indeed the best assault weapon. The bullets are few but you don't have to hit someone alot for him to go down. Mosty 2 to 3 bullets in the upper body does the trick!
But yeah if you use it while you're a trigger happy person you're in trouble!

When I played Assault I used the G3 frequently, but I've since shelved the Assault kit while I get the rest of my kit badges.

each time i own some g3 owner it makes me think.. he has higher damage output per sec but he still looses in cqc, why? maybe because that g3 cant hit a thing? maybe his ammo just went dry? maybe he was in single fire mode? regardles, when i see a man in the alley i do flop + full auto on my pkm if he is close, or flop + 2 shot bursts if he is further away. it is realy enough, if i hadnt have a poor k/d with support pre patch i would have it now way obove 2. pkm is simply unfair, and no toy like g3 or ak can compete. those who think otherwise are not good enough with pkm, after they learn, they would say the same

g3 is fun, but only for merciles spawn raping on karkand - it is fun, but again, it runs dry much to fast. and why, oh why it has only 5 magazines?

I'm using the G3 since the 1.21 patch castrated the FN2000. The only thing I don't like is the small clip, DICE should increase to make it a more balance weapon compared to the other kits.

Also the smoke greande needs to last longer when used and cover a larger area.

Yo if EA or DICE were to make the clip bigger then everyone would be using the G3. But on the other topic yea I thinks the G3 is a great gun but I only use it on close court maps like Sharqi Penisula.

Sorry but the G3 is a piece...

Too small of a clip size for CQC in which seconds are vital. 20 rounds gone, reload, and dead. The only reason Assault is/was better than support pre-patch WAS accuracy and CQC abilities (GL as cheesy as it was). Now its the same crappy G3 weapon with no alternative moves. Im sorry, but priase the G3 all you want, but you will NEVER clear an area with it like support, spec, or medic can (yes medic, used well they can be really great).

Oh... and as for PKM being a bad CQC weapon, i took out 5 (yes 5) guys spread out in 15 meters after turning a quater. Crouch shot, moved prone shot 3, moved picked up their med pack kill 2 (one ressed). For g3 you wouldve been outta ammo and out of luck. Sorry, but Assaults only grace in this game WAS the GL, now assault is just a gimp without a leg to stand on.

Small clip can lose a couple of kills. Eg. you have 9 shots left, a guy runs in, you miss him, he turns around.

Dont urrently have any assult unlocks. Its next on my list though, I just love the smoke grenades
